Tip of the Week: endoflevelbaddie - Punk Wakeman
endoflevelbaddie conducts an electronic orchestra from his bedroom in Hull. According to his MySpace profile, his 'band members' are synths, decks, effects racks, samplers, a kaoss pad and some drum machines. Oh, and he's not to be confused with Brighton-based quartet, End of Level Baddie. Glad we cleared that up.EOLB has been making music for the best part of 15 years and runs a local electronica night called Home Sweet Home in his home town, along with four other electro acts. He's also remixed tracks for local artists like The Neat, Dr. Dot and City of Glass.
He's been supported by his local BBC Introducing show in Humberside, Raw Talent, for the last few years, but he recently caught the attention of Huw Stephens and his Radio 1 team after uploading to us this new track, Punk Wakeman, which we've made our Tip of the Week. Huzzah!Mr Stephens, take it away...
We're loving the fact that if you want an endoflevelbaddie CD, all you have to do is ask him nicely on his MySpace blog. How very generous.
