Glastonbury: Day 3
Last night on the Introducing stage saw Fight Like Apes play one of the most anarchic and fun shows of the weekend.
One of Steve Lamacq's favourite new bands came from Dublin to play, just before London's Cock n Bull Kid wowed the crowd with her stylish alt-pop tunes, before putting make up on my face to make me look like a clown - check out the video below...
Jay Z was fantastic. I've seen more hip hop at Glasto this year than ever before; it feels like a truly diverse line-up on the stages, especially on the Park stage where i overheard the beatbox choir do 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover before MGMT's set that folks were raving about.
Today saw Leeds band Sky Larkin, Locarnos from Somerset, Cardiff's Threatmantics, Glasgow's Isosceles, Northern Irish group Ed Zealous, London's Vula, and Leicester's Dandilions all play brilliant sets. Some had a dedicated following, some played as relative unknowns before winning over a new set of fans. All came with unique music and a sense of wonderment from one of the best Glastos in recent memories.
The Wombats rocked up and played an acoustic show to a huge audience, sharing the Introducing love. It was good to see them, and watch them enjoy Isoceles.
It's been a brilliant weekend of new music in the Park area; thanks to all who came to heck out the bands and all the artists performing. i'm looking forward to playing out the live music on future shows, starting this Wednesday at 9pm.
