The Friday Session Introducing 04/01/2008
Tomorrow/Tonight from 7, it's the first Friday Session of 2008 - and for the first part of this year, we're celebrating some of our local success stories.
For the next couple of months, we're exploring Herefordshire & Worcestershire's association with iconic musicians and bands, as we bring our online Music Map to life. This week in our A-Z, we're hearing about the humble beginnings of Black Sabbath, who practised at a barn in Herefordshire - and regularly hit the town...of Bromyard!
We're also joined by a Worcester based record label, who're specialising in recording local gigs and having them made into professional CDs.
As always, we'll bring you a free live gig on the radio every Friday night from 7. This week we're joined by those pesky punks from Pershore, The Slapstix.
It's The Friday Session Introducing... 100% Local Music with Andrew Marston, only on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
