Huw's been going a bit Blog mad..so I thought I should get on here (Hi Huw!!)
Its Christmas Party season...so make sure you catch Huw Stephen's show and Rob da Bank's show over the next couple of weeks..we've got loads of unsigned bands playing.
Rob has Zoltan Kodaly School For Girls - a recorder group doing covers of 80's classics :-) on Sunday 17 December 12-2am
And Huw has The Duloks, Lisa Knapp, Evils, and Tall Pony (yay!) on Weds 20 Jan 12-2am.
On another unsigned tip..you might have heard Gideon Conn on Huw's show a couple of weeks ago? If you want to get his gig listings sign up to his mailing https://www.gideonconn.com well worth seeing him live.

- Littleborough Cricket Club (nr. Rochdale) on Fri, 29th Dec, doors at 7:30pm
- The Whitworth pub on the corner of Great Western Street and Oxford Road, Rusholme, Manchester at midnight New Years Eve.
- Pangea, which is a massive student event on Jan 27th in a specially constructed marquee next to the Manchester Academys 1,2 and 3

This is not massively interesting but I notice that Rob Da Bank's Radio 1 photo pictures him in a shirt with epaulets. I'm sure that it's a nice shirt and that it cost him a fair bit too but I think you should warn him that he should change this pic before he becomes he butt of extended epaulet centred abuse.
Alan Shearer was wearing an appaling epaulet-featuring effort the other week on MOTD 2 and that turd from Xfactor thinks they are good too. This is a trend which could have credibility-destroying fall out during the regretful January/February period.
Also, have you heard the new Hanne Hukkelberg album that is out in Norway? The last one, which came out on Leaf,was pretty good.

Thanks for the tips producer Louise. Good to see the working force behind the UKs best radio shows so passionate about new music. Loving Tall Pony at the moment, 'I'm Your Boyfriend Now' is a great tune. What do you think of Zoltan Kodaly School For Girls? Sick of them yet? he he, I adore their cover of 'Hounds Of Love' but their other ones are sooo cheesey it makes me laugh. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too. Dave x x x
