Jamie Lomas Joins EastEnders

Ladies and soap lovers, you're going to love us for this one! We have none other than Jamie Lomas, previously known as Warren in Hollyoaks, set to arrive in The Square for some fiery fun this summer!

Jamie will be playing the role of sexy and seductive Jake Stone. Jake's had a run of bad luck but is determined to turn his life around. Unable to resist temptation - a fundamental weakness for a recovering alcoholic - temptation will always follow him in every sense of the word… oooh, cryptic!

A man of mystery, little is known about Jake as he keeps his secrets to himself. So, what's in store for our dark horse, and why has he come to Walford? Well, we can't tell you too much or we'd have to kill you, but let's just say that with his good looks and charm, we can guarantee he'll be causing a stir when he arrives in Albert Square to rebuild his life... We can’t imagine that he’ll be short of a few female admirers too.

Speaking of joining the series, Jamie said: "I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of EastEnders. I have admired the show for many years and I can't wait to start working with such a strong cast of actors. Jake Stone is a great character to play and I'm really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into the role."

And if you thought you recognised Jamie from somewhere other than the TV, you might have seen him in the showbiz gossip columns. As the hubby of Kym Marsh, we'll have to make sure he doesn't spill his Eastie's secrets to his Corrie wife! *winky face*

Jamie Lomas starts filming in June and will appear on screen in August. We can't wait for you to meet him!
