This week is an important milestone for the BBC College of Journalism online - or CoJo, as some people call it.

This website has been available free to users in the UK since the turn of the year - but, up until now, the tips and guides, glossaries and interactive exercises haven't been visible outside the UK.

That's because we've been working with our partner, the Oxford University Press, on a way of distributing access to the site globally under subscription - work that's now complete.

Overseas students and journalists whose college or broadcasting organisation takes out a subscription will be able to access the whole of site. Individual subscriptions are available too.

This Discussion area - which includes video and reports on events - will be free and open to all. And our Twitter account - BBCCollege - will continue to recommend important reading and video for the study of journalism.

Our next step is to develop the College's Facebook presence and YouTube account - to enable journalists in the UK and around the world to share their learning, tips, experiences, triumphs and, maybe, disasters.

Watch this space.
