There are a couple of pieces of news about our Student Innovation award - whose full details you can access here.
First, the winner will be announced at a major conference which the College of Journalism will be organising at MediaCityUK in Salford on Tuesday 29 October. More details of the conference will be released soon, together with the names of the judges who will be picking the award winner.
As a result of picking that date, we’re giving you an extra week to complete your entries. The new closing date for the competition is now Monday 30 September.
Finally, we have added a note of clarification to the terms and conditions to say that by “accredited” journalism courses we mean courses accredited both by professional journalism organisations such as the NCTJ or the BJTC and journalism courses run by any British university.
Incidentally, if you were following the award last year, when it was only open to post-graduate journalism students, you will notice that this year the competition has been extended to include undergraduates as well as post-grads.
