Well, the team is now editing the series and, as promised, you can see what they're up to on their website. They've put some of the rushes online. You are invited to comment on ideas in a blog, scrutinize details of the production schedule and even, on Fickr, enjoy cheery pictures of the production team (below).

At the top is an interview they filmed with Biz Stone and Evan Williams, the founders of Twitter. Digital Revolution only presents these as a selection of the rushes, but they may still provide interesting material for media studies students to compare with the finished documentary.
So is this the way forward, or just a hostage to fortune? With all the material available online, any changes of editorial direction, delays in the schedule or problems with the team will be easily tracked by anyone who can be bothered.
The upside - creating a buzz around the programme among its key audience group, as well as giving the series authenticity by not using 'old media' culture to document new media - should outweigh the risks.
