Pope Benedict XVI is to visit England and Scotland from 16 to 19 September, in what will be the first papal visit to the UK in more than 25 years.

The BBC College of Journalism will hold a lunchtime briefing to discuss the significance of the visit to the UK Government and Roman Catholic Church, in addition to the logistical challenges of reporting the event. 

The panellists are:

Morwen Williams, Deputy UK Editor, BBC News

Robert Pigott, Religious Affairs Correspondent at the BBC

Austen Ivereigh, European Correspondent, America (US Catholic magazine)
