BBC College of Journalism Postgraduate Student Journalism Innovation Award
The BBC College of Journalism is looking for the most innovative postgraduate journalism students in the UK. In the first award of its type, we're asking for pieces of first-class original journalism which use the very latest newsgathering and storytelling techniques.
This could mean really creative crowdsourcing, social media, multimedia and multiplatform working, data analysis or infographics. Find out a bit more about the background to award.
How to enter
You must email your entry, marked 'Postgraduate Student Innovation Award', to david.hayward@bbc.co.uk or post it to David Hayward, Journalism Programme, BBC College of Journalism, Room 2406, BBC White City Building, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TS.
The entry must include both your piece of journalism and a 500-word explanation of the methods used to produce the work and why it is so innovative.
Closing date
The competition is open to entries now - we need to receive them by 30 April 2012.
Judging
The award will be judged by a panel of senior figures in world of journalism, including experts from the BBC and the wider media industry, academics and renowned innovators in this field.
