Len Downie, former editor of the Washington Post, spoke to the BBC College of Journalism about the US political landscape ahead of the 2010 mid-term elections.

He began by explaining the significance of these elections and the impact they might have on the federal government. He also discussed the country's feelings towards its president, Barack Obama, and the much-talked about Tea Party movement.
