In 35 years, China’s Communist Party has transformed the country’s economy. Now, as the Party prepares for a major leadership changeover, the latest figures show the economy has slowed for seventh successive quarter, with falling demand in key markets such as the US and Europe.

There’s also been a slowdown in investment.

In this talk to BBC journalists, business editor Robert Peston examined some of the key challenges facing the world’s second-largest economy despite what he calls “explosive and extraordinary” growth.
