  4. Thriftwood Summer Scheme 2013

    The Thriftwood Summer Scheme was set up by Brighter Opportunities through Supported Play (BOSP), based in Brentwood, Essex. The aim of the Scheme was to help young people with learning disabilities experience an adventurous activity holiday that would increase their independence, and help develope life skills and self-esteem.

  7. Who you help: Connor and Cerebra

    Five-year-old Connor is severely autistic. His family was told that he would never speak. With the help of a BBC Children in Need grant, Connor was able to get help from the Sensory Toy Library at Cerebra in Carmarthen, Wales.

  8. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Gala Evening in aid of BBC Children in Need

    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to host a Gala Evening in aid of BBC Children in Need and hosted by Sir Terry Wogan. The Gala takes place on 7 November and tickets go on sale on 13 September.
