ok, im so excited about sunday's ep that im watching the 'next time' on loop, trying to squeeze every drop of info out of it, and in the bit where Cutler is talking to Tom in his office, Tom is holding some cue-cards, don't know what they could mean but i thought that was really sweet that he had actually learnt something from Allison :)

Hi new bloggers! This is such a great place. Came on board here between S3 and 4, on the Longest Thread Ever. I live in the US so am mainly around during night shift, but have been kinda tied up the past few weeks.



BH attracts such cool and interesting fans. I've loved watching you all join up and hop in. x

I have already compiled a folder with color coded sections covering every eventuality, including: first aid, fake references, emercency numbers including the coast guard, housing benefit and carbon monoxide poisoning in poorly ventilated flats. She's veeeery organized, it's color doded and everything ;), she even thought of CO-poisoning...wonder what she'd need the coast guard for though ^^

Allison is so terribly proper but how sad to have to write to her parents in such a distant way.... Awwww. *sniff* Clearly not a close bond!

Personnally , I imagine very well that some families with the financial leeway, hiding WWs because there is an economical cost and poor peeps cannot afford detached houses, big cellars or well padded soundproof attics;

WWs are dangerous once a month and can plan the change

pretending a sudden agoraphobia, they live at home, those of can do homework, as working at home and once a month, cellar or cell and voila

a lonely life if the change happened whrn you were single, but if you are married or w/partner, a loving spouse, loving kids will shelter you from danger

like Leo.



vamps are a lot less managable because of the blood hunger

but again as long as the vamp still has live relatives with whom he bonded before the change... though regus spoke of thinning the herd

yet kept an eye on his descendents

Re Allison - I loved her. The way Ellie played her was just so endearing.

Off topic - apparently there was some sort of planetary alignment stuff going on the night before last so I wonder if that bovvered the wolves out there a bit.



Looking forward to Sundays episode. Love a bit of flashback. Wonder how they will tie all of the different things together. Thats what I thought was missing from elements of the first two episodes - a bit or narrative thread - as there are a lot of plot points to get in. Now we are at more of a end phase its all knitting up quite nicely. Had enough of the knitting metaphor... quite right too!

Hellooo! Hello Fleem and Saint and Manc and lozzie and all the rest of you. Just wanted to say - I KNEW it! I KNEW she'd been scratched on a Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme trip! Aw... poor Allison, this letter does not fill me with hope for a happy family reunion. Can't help feeling she'd have been better off with Tom. All those forging skills might have proved very ... supportive.



REALLY want to see her back in S5, with Tom. They go together so beautifully, they are both exactly what the other one needs (though Tom seems to think the killing-vamps-thing that he taught her was a bad-thing in the end, I'm not so sure). Could Allison get her Uni place at Aberystwyth? I've heard that's a very good uni, and surely near lots of wild places, perfect for WW transformations. She could just pootle on down to Barry at the weekends to spend time with Tom.



Oh, it's probably just wishful thinking. *sigh*

24. i was thinking that, in the newspaper it said Allison's parents made 'an emotional plea for the safe return of their daughter' as if she had been kidnapped or something, which i thought odd because she left a letter, but reading this letter especially the "something happened to me over the holiday", you would be very worried if you were her parents.

I love these letters. Poor Allison! Hopefully her relationship with her parents will improve if she goes home.

There is no easy way to say this, so I am going to be blunt. I am leaving home.



This decision makes sense for a lot of reasons:



Firstly, financial: the reduces cost of one less person in the house will significantly reduce monthly bills, as you have mentioned a couple of tomes during arguments. You may have said this in the heat of the moment, but in the cold light of day I cannot fault your logic.



Secondly, character compatibility issues: if our shared interests were venn diagrams, there would be very little overlap between the three of us. I know I’m in a minority but I’m really bored of Allison *scuttles to the blog corner to hide behind the comfy sofa*. But before I go...



Episode 7 Plot Synopsis: Warning – no spoilers whatsoever!



Hal and Norbert Cutler finally meet and it is revealed that... they both like a good singsong on the quiet. While on a massive karaoke bender with Cutler, Hal accidently drinks a dangerous blood/Kia Ora cocktail and starts trying to balance eggs on very shiny teaspoons while simultaneously playing the lute and slaughtering virgins. Alex isn’t a virgin so she gets away with just being looked at funny.



As part of his masterplan, Cutler gets Tom to join in the karaoke while secretly filming him. Tom can’t hold a tune, and Cutler reveals to the world that... werewolves can’t sing.

Annie gets shown around a supposedly future world by some bird calling herself Eve, but pays little attention as she just can’t get over “Eve”’s nasty yellow outfit.

Mr Snow and the OOs arrive, turn out to be thoroughly nice chaps and set up a babysitting circle for Eve.



There are no cliff-hangers at the end of this episode. Episode 8 is mainly about the practical details of building a swimming pool in a small back garden. No one dies.



THE END - till series 5...

I could very clearly "hear" Allison reading that out loud - it was definitely in line with her character.



I never did DofE and it sounds like a good thing, firstly no werewolves and secondly no "Brown Willys" (@Megan2345).

34 ROFL! We were near Penistone! I swear the ancients were having a laugh when they named some of these places in the UK. It reminds me of the Inbetweeners and their charity Rude Place Names of Britain Tour.



Perhaps you should invest in some silver bullets Megan.

So sad to think there are only 10 days til the end of the series :'( but glad to hear that this blog continues afterwards :D



The last blog I was involved with to this extent was 10 years ago when BTVS S5 was on and I was pregnant with my daughter. Some really good relationships developed between the bloggers, and when Amy was born I randomly and surprisingly received £80 Mothercae vouchers and some gifts at work from the bloggers. To this day I do not know how they found me!



Once I'd had Amy RL really took over and I lost touch with them :( actually I only blogged at work, and I gave up work!



It's nice to see that some bloggers on here have met up to go on set tours etc. I feel I'm past all that myself with two kids to take care of, but if I didn't have those commitments of RL (and if I were a few years younger) I'd definitely want to come along.



I've rewatched Ep 6, yes again, and following someones comment about Alex earlier I now feel she is being a bit pushy, almost like she has an ulterior motive. Hal wasn't exactly encouraging her advances, both times she came into the cafe.



Also, I do think Annie and Tom should shoulder most of the blame if he does fall off the wagon. He has told them time and time again that he needs to stay away from people, but they have just laughed at him. Annie seems to have forgotten all about Leo's list, Which is a bit rich from someone who loves lists as much as she does.



Gosh I'm babbling. Still it's better than leaping ;)

I think the trouble really started after the episode when Cutler killed the Journalist (episode 5?). When Annie had the conversation with Hal about having enjoyed killing Kirby, Hal became very positive and seemed to think he could cope with ordinary life.



He is so repressed and controlling I think he could never cope with real life. If it is so that the OO get status from acts rather than age then Lord Harry was not just famous for the ladies but totally out of control and enjoying it. I would say that Cutler was behind putting Alex in harms way. Apart from the fact he looks to not know Hal is in Barry.

But I really hope that before things get dangerous that Hal comes over all smooth and seductive (as in his 2nd succubus-induced dream, and as Tom says he would have been when drinking blood) because I think it will come across as dead cheesy and Alex will have a field-day of sarcasm. Hi Sea! Moi storming the stage door? Never! I'm more likely to be hiding in a bush with binoculars and a thermos flask or sitting on a bench near the theatre wearing a false 'tache and hiding behind a newspaper with eyeholes. Once a private eye, always a private eye.

Can I ask what are peoples opinions about why werewolves and vampires hate each other. Is it because they are competing for the same food? I know in lots of literature and dramas on television this is the case. Just wondering.

67. i really want to see Bad Hal but at the same time i don't want to loose happy, singing, sweet, OCD Hal and if he did go completely bad then i can only see him going one of two ways: down the Mitchell path *sobs*, or becoming the new series Big Bad.

Its so strange how i was content not to know the real Mitchell for almost two whole series, and to let him stay on the wagon(ish) but with Hal i just want to drag him off and see what happens. Its probably because the scene where Mitchell stabs Stephen the coroner and the BTM scene are some of my favorites and i want to see it again.

It is weird how persistant Alex has been. I don't think she's Cutler's plant or anything Because Cutler does look genuinely suprised to see Hal, in the clip. But to get the reactions she does from Hal, including being abandoned in a museum, she must be very very keen.
