The problem we have with Adam, is that the actor is getting older... But Adam isn't I guess thats why we should kill off Vampires on the show, and keep the Wolves! Woof!

What a brilliant Ep! Oh my! I JUMPED out of my skin when Hal stabbed Tom! She was scary, that teacher! Craig Roberts was really good!

Why do they keep the best scenes out of the programme that was so funny.

I would like to know what happened to the other characters from the trinity in becoming human. Please.

I think it's great that we see a different side of Adam's character this episode. Last time his immaturity and innuendos seemed to make him a bit one-dimensional (in my opinion anyway) because he wasn't taking anything seriously. I like that he's grown up a lot in the meantime (mentally I mean, not physically obviously!). It's made me grow to like him much more as a character, and I like that he really wants to stay off blood for good now. And that through-the-door scene was oddly moving...

@10 i agree the episode was disapointing to me :( and i didnt want adam to leave with that girl because i was really hope for a season 2 of becoming human but that dosent look like that is going to happen now!!

I am actually quite worried for Hal. He thinks he is safe because he had a dead body in his way and didnt get a reaction. Next episode he is going to get living breathing blood running temptation in his way and find out just how weak his resolve is. Oh dear it could all end in tears.



Annie enjoyed killing Kirby? FW has no hope if she comes in the house and Annie realises what she is up to.

Hal's press up scene was cut :O Do you have access to it Rebecca? Or will you be sneaking into the production office to find the cut scenes like they did for the CCTV footage in BcH? ;)

Why was Yvonne in Hal's dream telling him to kill Eve? Surely that must be his subconscious talking.

Cutler's thread this episode really stole the show for me. it was a great scene in the hotel room. Really wanted him to still be there when Annie & Hal got there.



As for the goings on IN the house, it felt too close in concept and tone to last week. Someone coming in and manipulating the three leads, albeit by accident.



Adam was ok, it got a bit too sappy and cliched at the end though. I don't feel the succabus story added anything to the series really.



Hal feels very underused and we at ep5 now.

Hal telling Annie that crucifixes don't affect old ones wasn't all that much of a shock to be honest, he's an old one, Wyndam managed to get into HH without an invite so i assumed the lack of a reaction to a cross is also in the Old One's Job Description. So by that assumption we now know that Cutler isn't an OO. I thought his reaction to the crucifix was a tad theatrical, i was expecting him to straighten up, unaffected, smile and say 'gotcha' to Pete.



Selina Griffiths was very good too though i was distracted by how much she sounds like her mother (Annette Crosbie from One Foot in the Grave incase you didn't know)



Cutler continues to intrigue me that naughty naughty vampire.

Here's me being a bit obsessive. But if you listen to how Yvonne says 'do it, do it...' etc it sounds like the same stresses and intonations as when FW says it in Ep2. So that command is still floating around his subconcious even though he didn't actually see her.

I just posted this in the last thread but bringing it over here as the same topic is under discussion - Why has Hal never mentioned the fact that OOs aren't affected by crucifixes before considering they are an important part of Eve's 'protection'? I had been wondering how he was able to pick her up from the cot without being affected and also how come ever watchful surrogate mum Annie hadn't noticed, but just assumed it must be something to do with the not drinking blood making him a bit more human or something

In s1 didn't they say Mitchell was fine holding Georges necklace because George liked him.

So if they aren't being kind-of used and believed in they aren't as effective. Adam was fine in Eves room with the cross-mobile.

Maybe it's the fact that journalist was putting his faith into the cross it was so effective on Cutler, and possibly like somebody else said on thelive blog prehaps it is something to do with the size.

Incidentally, I loved this episode. Is it just me or are Hal and Annie getting closer? That little exchange near the end got me thinking. Annie's taste in men really is deplorable!

@51 and 56 I really hope they don't show either, the show really needs to just steer clear of religion, it only bogs it down. See series 2 for an example.

I'm also beginning to wonder that since Hal and Cutler's paths still haven't crossed that Hal could be Cutler's maker. Griffin did say he 'wasn't around' rather than 'dead' (or did i misinterpret that?), that would be quite a twist if it were the case don't you think?

@BBD loved this episode too, second fave of the series after ep3. Definitely getting closer, but I think/hope just more in terms of trust and friendship. It would be a bit repetitive if it was something more, no?

59: Rhentaghost: I agree, I've been thinking that maybe Hal is relaxing too much, and worried how he and Annie encouraged each other to 'shut him {the journalist} up a bit' they were sort of kidding themselves about the 'bit' part.



Good to see echoes of Lord Harry in the dream sequence. And I love that in Hal's sub-conscious Annie just breezes through talking about the baby and then going off to make tea;o)

So why did Hal have the other dream about killing Tom and then Eve? From the way she said it it seems the subliminal message from FW is definitely still stuck somewhere in his subconscious but why would the succubus make him dream that, it's hardly going to help make him fall in love with her is it? Unless the dreams not only played on their greatest desires but also their greatest fears, in Hal's case reverting to what he was and doing the worst thing he can think of, killing the war child... Have to say I thought his reaction was adorable, Annie having to rentaghost in past the giant pile of all his possessions (and Hal is a tidy man, it must have been difficult for him to do that) to find him cowering as far from the door as possible, I think it's safe to say he's not about to act on that dream any time soon!



@54 Good theory about the crucifixes. I had forgotten about Mitchell and George's necklace. And had also failed to notice Adam being fine with Eve's crucifix mobile despite not being an OO. So Hal would be immune anyway but I guess they're not intended for Hal and Adam, Annie put them there and she trusts him so they are less powerful or something. Still think it's odd that Hal didn't mention the OOs are immune to them though, you'd think Annie would want to know that!

@69 My personal theory is that the second dream wasn't succubus induced at all and it was Hal's subconscious way of letting him know what was going on and what Yvonne was. Keeping control.

@66/71 he said he didn't care who Cutler is or who his maker is, he's 'gone now'. So could definitely be Hal, I've been thinking that too! They've been a long time now just missing each other, and Cutler's reaction to that coroner's description of Hal last week was pretty intense, he seems to have upped his game since hearing about this well spoken vampire who attempted to scare her but then apologised and left.



Hal and Annie having a heart to heart over killing, I don't know what to think of that yet will have to watch again! I like that she's finally accepted him though, not treating him like a slightly insane inconvenience anymore! At least she's not in denial anymore, she knows what she did to Kirby and is admitting the truth rather than turning a blind eye like she so often has done in the past

I think Hal could well be Cutlers maker, was thinking during tonights episode that the two haven't 'met' yet. So maybe a meeting of the two could be saved till near the end. Could Cutler bring out the worst in Hal? Herrick did seem to favour Mitchell. Maybe it's a nepotisic thing!

Agree. The journalists room scenario was too neatly set up for them to meet and for them not to have been an accident (somewhere in there is a sentence that makes sense.)

So if that's the case Cutler must have been a vampire for at least 55 years. Maybe the last vampire Hal made before he went clean? Maybe it was that event that made him go clean this time?

Right I wasn't sure so I rewatched the bit in ep one. What Griffin actually says is: "I don't care who you are, or who your maker was, he's gone now..."

Technically Hal has been 'gone' for 55 years and the bit aboutt he maker sounds like he's implying Cutler thinks he should have been important because of who his maker was. So if not Hal then poss one of the other OOs? Still hoping Hal though. That would be interesting.

That other vampire only said Cutler's maker was 'gone now', they probably consider Hal as being gone/lost to them, or maybe they don't even know he's alive at all. If they do they clearly don't see him as a threat anymore despite once all being scared of him. I think it's possible he is his maker. Two things just occured to me, firstly the way Lauren was treated amongst the other vampires after Mitchell made her and abandoned her, she was one of them but never quite included, they didn't look after her properly and they all said he should have been there with her. Cutler may not be a new vampire like Lauren but that's not so dissimilar from the way the others see him, like they're tolerating him but don't really want him there. Being the 'child' of an old one, someone they once looked up to could exlain that, especially if they believe his maker is dead. Also the flashback to the 'tomb service' scene with Mitchell and Herrick where Herrick goes on about the bond between a maker and his progeny, that it's not something to be entered into lightly. Herrick was pure evil but he seemed to really believe all that and he certainly had trouble dealing with Mitchell even after all the things Mitchell did he always seemed unwilling to kill him without first trying to persuade him back, as if he missed him.. If that bond is something so important and Hal is Cutler's maker, it could make things very difficult for poor Hal when they do meet!



Definitely think it's possible, and that the creation of Cutler could have been a key piece in bringing Hal towards his decision to give up blood.

Just another thought.... So if a demon has a child with a human, we get a succubus or incubus... What if a demon crossed with a vampire, werewolf or ghost.... OR IF a ghost could actually become pregnant!!!!

91- Poltergiest and Banshee would be awesome and if anyone deserves a guardian angel Eve should have one, she has quite a lot of people who will be wanting her dead.

Poltergeists have already been in it. Series 1 when Annie was upset about Owen and started exploding lights and smashing plates in the PH Mitchell *sob* told George she was a Poltergeist.

We've already had poltergeists, they're just ghosts with issues who don't know how to control their energy yet! Annie went through her poltergeist phase in season 1 after finding out about Owen, and Pearl had a minor poltergeist episode when Leo was dying. But they both had help, other supernaturals who knew what it was and could guide them through it and help them regain their control. Presumably without that help it would keep getting worse and worse until the effects started reaching horror movie levels instead of just flickering lights and flying teacups and coffee jars!



I hope Hal doesn't get complacent now he's finally starting to believe in himself a bit!

I'd really really hate it if they brought in angels. It just evokes all those annoying saccharine e-mails my gran sends me, with trite platitudes and aryan angels with seriously big hair. It makes me feel queasy just thinking about it. :(

I could do without angels too, I'm not sure any show will ever be able to do angels as well as Supernatural did with Castiel... Though if another show was going to try I'd want it to be BH!
