So last week Nina demonstrated how to create a story this week George shows how not to.



At least No pigeons were killed this time.

Frankly ludicrous! Looking forward to a little humour this week.

Oh dear George! Your story making skill's are second to none however its a shame how the simple excuse always just manages to escape your grasp. Never mind looks like it going to be another brilliant episode.

5 - Okay I kind of thought your point was fully made.

The office sounds and train sounds echoing through the background to remind Us all of where she was what was going on and to give ideas about what's happening in purgatory and the horror Annie was going through.

oh Georgie honeylamb..you are not NOT a liar. "Earth, Wind and Fire"? Really...wonder if James Brown founded the cult? lol I could just eat him up. Too bad Mitchell and Annie couldn't be there to witness that horror.

16- I decided i would listen to daddy cool by Placebo and found out it is from their album called "Sleeping with Ghosts". It would have been good if they worked this song into Sundays episode, could of had a kind of Mitchell/Annie relationship subtext and all the stuff going on with Georges dad.

I think George should really sort out his cover stories beforehand or just stop talking before he digs the hole deeper. Although I think he's so cute when he's stumbling over his words, especially when he gets to tat point where he realises how ludicrous what he's saying is, but he just carries on anyway.



I like Nina's reactions to what he's saying. 'I was in the cult?...I...was in the cult, yes.' lol.



If only she'd come up with the story, I'm sure it would have been more plausable.

18, 20- I want to thank you, ewan, for being patient and explaining things to those of us who are 'special' or who have missed things earlier in the blog- with and average of 300 comments per blog, (some running into essays)important stuff is easily missed! And thank you for watching so carefully- I (and many others) miss a lot. BHProd have a lot to thank you for :-)



BTW- I don't think the church of earth, wind and fire has anything to do with the plot/subplot/clues etc! for what its worth....

Okk so i looked on the creddits of this episode googled his name, And ive seen him before in corrie.

31- that actor must be George's step dad or something as in a well known TV listings magazine it says his real dad has gone the same way as Annie! I recognise him too- he's been in loads of stuff on telly.

re furniture

I think the only reason there’s no furniture is to create a less “homey” feel then Bristol house, hence they lose that bond of being social and accessible to one another. George’s reference last week to them pretending to surf in front of the vista underlined yet again how this house has played a part in splitting them. Except for when Herrick 1st arrived and when Cara staked herself I don’t think I saw all of them in the same room and that underlined how both Herrick and the house were dividing them

Saffz - It's Danny Webb, he was in Alien 3 (only surviving inmate) he was also recently in Land Girls.

No pigeons were harmed in the making of this cover story... ;)

36 - Yeah Saffz, I saw his name was James Fleet and I rewatched that clip like five times as he does not look like the James Fleet I remember at all. But you saying that he was on Corrie looking like that must mean it's him because that was the last job he did according to IMDB... but I must be getting old, because he has aged majorly and does not compute with my memory at all. (The weird thing is that I think I saw him quite recently at the RSC and he still looks really different). I need to get my eyes tested again...

39 - ohhhhh Maria, now I get it! That wasn't George Senior, that was stepdad Marcus. I knew he didn't look like James Fleet! I couldn't believe that James could've changed so much in appearance since I watched Twelfth Night last winter! Talk about gaggling my brain! Missed the bit about George Snr being a ghost. 61 - yes he did marry Alice in Vicar of Dibley, and he was the same-ish character in 4 weddings and a funeral too. He does foppish well, but a great comic actor; funniest scene in RSC's Twelfth Night was him hiding in a tree behind Richard Wilson who was being deadpan serious. Almost needed a Tena ladypad I laughed so much!

59- I don't do theories either but I do like noticing things I think others might have missed. The detail in the sets and the writing mean clues etc can be missed. Its fun to try and work out what (if anything) things mean. [the Writers are probably reading all this and shaking their heads saying 'We're not THAT clever' !!]

68 - It was a hilarious moment of my life. Do you think that they would do that to Gaius? Gaius would say "I really cannot believe that, Merlin, you should be careful and find out the truth..." Maybe for a comic relief or children in need sketch he might... I was gutted last night; I finished all my Merlin dvds and now I have to wait until September. I feel lost. Loving the Merlin so much right now!

73 - Hi Keriawwr - I think the concensus is that Ghoul = Ghost, I can't see a character played by James Fleet (or any father of George for that matter) being a poltergeist... maybe when he's upset to see his wife with such a bully?



71 - Annie would be a rubbish liar though surely - she's too nice to lie!

70/74 - BH is just BH to me; unique in its brilliance; it has a bit of everything in it. There's not nearly been enough horror yet this season. Horror is when blood splatters the camera lens, surely?

74- bbc recon its comedy-drama but mabye it should be comedy-drama-horror

Excellent clip, really funny. And we need something more light-hearted after the mind-blowing 'Longest Day'. Props to all concerned and looking forward to watching James Fleet work his magic. Such amazing actors in this series. And congrats to Alexandra Roach for getting a role as a young Margaret Thatcher / Meryl Streep; will be keeping an eye out for that when it hits the big screen.

83 - ah you see there another example of how my brain works. Sometimes I just don't know reality from what my brain comes up with. I thought Gaius/Merlin thing sounded like a good idea for a comic relief/children in need sketch, probably because I'd already seen it, but my memory is such I didn't remember that it was a memory, if you see my point! Most disconcerting...

92 - you're alright Saffz, don't worry. I know what you mean. You should see Shakespeare's spellings; he was atrocious. Mainly because no one had formalised spelling back then and whatever you thought looked good went! I have to read a lot of sixteenth century stuff and you spell much better. =)
