now the clip can be seen I can point out how much I love the not really running away just walking away very quickly style of retreat that Annie chooses.



This has me feeling hole levels of glee.



One thing about being human is that all four are in a way trying to hide. Apart from Annie who can't be seen.



but it looks like the Zombie might not be that good at pretending and hiding or really want to as much as the others.



This will add a whole new dynamic to the interactions that I am really going to enjoy.

Good on Annie for keeping her cool. I have to say, if I had come face to face with that thing, I would probably have peed myself. Chavs are very scary creatures, especially when they've had a drink!

What does Annie do with her time?



I was getting worried that they were only going to do Annie scenes with the others, you know memories of purgatory keeping her from exploring the new city. Kind of like episode 4 last season following the postman.



It would also explain the night club clips we've seen in behind the scene blogs.



I think Annie does need this otherwise she would be back to square one. Having her hang on Mitchell's arm for too long would just not work.

Lenora is absolutely amazing! After rewatching the interview again last night I was smirking my face off. I hadn't noticed but she does a little courtsey before she leaves the office - she's brilliant.

32 - oh Saffz I well up too, although initially that was just over the seriously bad recording of my favourite piece of music! I didn't realise how much I loved the old place and the people, but the more I see in Barry, the more I choke about losing Bristol. I feel terrible but I sometimes want to cut my ears off.

The old house was a charater in the show. It had a conection with Annie all the stuff with the pipes and the cracked tile,

37 - I do like the new house, but it does make me worry that Annie has lost her stable foothold and is lost and desperately trying to cling on to something to give her a sense of place... the thing being Mitchell.



I never quite saw how having a blocked u-bend in the toilet meant that kitchen taps didn't work... that always disturbed me greatly because if something blocking the toilet u-bend stopped water coming out the drinking taps then I really would recommend sticking to bottled water once the blockage is removed!



But hey - it was quirky like Annie though. I loved it.

Tim is a real person, but it's just to know when he's doing gigs.

I was re-watching series 1 and love it when George goes down to the transformation room in the hospital and meets the builder with the funny laugh and Bristolian accent who says "they been keeping the mentals in here", soo funny, cracks me up everytime and George's expression is classic!!!

At least we have our box sets for endless re-watchs of Being Human and Bristol!!!

It depends on their take on zombies. Traditionally zombies actually don't eat flesh! Most of that stuff comes from the (granted good) Living Dead films. Traditionally they were people who were reanimated by a voodoo priest or witch doctor, often or not as a kind of slave to the priest's will.* There are older zombie films from before the Romero classics that follow that kind of zombie, and while they will kill, they don't generally eat people.



Technically, I wouldn't really count this girl as a zombie though as zombies are usually in a kind of sleepwalking type state. This girl just seems to be normal apart from being dead. That wouldn't make a very interesting character though in something that is predominantly a character show, so I can see why they took this route. It's not the first time zombies have been depicted this way either. The zombies that appear in Buffy are quite chatty. Come to think of it the zombies in the Night of the Living Dead film tend to have their marbles too, although those ones do like munching brains.



Anyhow. The clip looks interesting. And the sudden turn-around with that freaky sound effect actually startled me! Her face was gross, but I've seen worse, but it was primarily the suddenness that made me jump a bit.



*There is actually a real life basis for this. There is a kind of drug that can induce near death symptoms. While you are still alive your heart beat is so weak that your pulse and respiration is very hard to detect. Thus, when people wake up from this state, it seems as if they've come back from the dead. (At least, that's the explanation.)



Some believe this is the basis of zombie legends. Of course these people are at least physically alive rather than undead, although I've heard reports they come back different. Like they left something behind. It might be a kind of brain damage... or a trance state. Or mabye they left their soul behind.... Brrrr.

I think that the closest type we can gauge Sasha from is Terry Pratchett and the Discworld series.



Basically the body is dead but the soul or personality and memories still remain within. They keep Decaying and have to be embalmed to prevent complete collapse. But are still effectively the same person.



As to the eating flesh part there was a heart on some papers in one of the promo pictures.



Also here is a question will she keep decaying bit by lumpy bit unless she gets embalmed pretty sharpish.



Now we can see from the clip Zombies can get drunk but do they feel as their nervous system decays?

If you ever get a chance to read Grunts by Mary Gentle, they have a special squad of zombie orks who have to keep stitching bits of their bodies back on. If they saluted too hard, the officer had to duck to avoid the rain of flying fingers :-)

ha ha!....loving this fiesty zombie...bring it on I say! Great bit of drama and comedy. Really loking forward to Sunday..from the clips so far it looks another comedy classic.

Again this has probably been mentioned but can't read every post to find out as at work but... In "The American werewolf in London" the werewolfs mate was killed by him and could not pass over and had to roam as the undead until the werewolf who killed him was dead! It looked on the above clip as if Sasha hand clawed down her face (or on the other hand she may have been bottled gfo knicking drinks!)Maybe McNair or another poss new wolf killwd her. One last thing how come if she is a zombie she is not eating brains and attacking everyone like Day of The Dead or some other classic zombie film. Anywayt does'nt matter to much as Bh is so great and only 2 sleeps away.

Robson Green was on 'Daybreak' this morning, promoting BH and he couldn't have been nicer about Toby, Aidan, Russell and Lenora. He had lovely things to say about them all.

Great example! I was also thinking of a film I saw at school as a teenager: Dead Heat. A kind of zombie cop drama. We saw it English of all places. It was at the end of term so the teacher let us bring in our own films and a kid brought in this. (Quite amusing as this was rated 18 and we were younger. The teacher didn't care, she was quite chilled out.)



In hindsight the film was rather trashy but I enjoyed it at the time. And it had some real gross-out decomposition sequences....

I preferred the first, but the second wasn't as bad as many make out. The story was actually a lot more involved. The first was scarier though, although it was the dream sequences rather than the wolf killings that freaked me out. Especially the woodland scene.

Hello all...brief visit only..



Fabulous...how good is this going to get?? We have more characters, a number of storylines, incredible make-up (thank you, Marcus!), stunning writing (Lord Toby and others...grovel, fawn), out-of-this-world acting, ace production..what more could a fan ask for?



Sasha looks like dynamite, fiesty with, I suspect, with an interesting turn of phrase..so looking forward to tonight's episode of this and Becoming Human straight afterwards (tv red button or online). Our Sunday nights are stitched up for the next 5 Sundays
