What an amazing first episode!...filled with humour, pathos and heart-wrenching in places....fabulous Lord Toby, Colin Teague , producer Phil and..of course..all the fantastic performances from all the cast.



Lia's revelation of her death was the biggest surprise for me...and her prophecy will have Mitchell looking at all werewolves with a different eye from now on.

What a cracker of a first episode. I can't even begin to imagine which werewolf kills Mitchell, oh actually I do...



Sinead and Russell just cracked me up in the police station. Ironic that he was arrested for, er, dogging? Sinead's expressions trying to fight off the urges were making me splutter into my drink. I can't imagine anyone doing those scenes the way she did them. The half-shut eye was the limit...so funny.



Mitchell and Annie...aww, nice ending! It was lovely seeing them back together. Him doing the emotional bit on the train with Lia...I wanted to shut her up and shout 'listen to him will you'..how mad is that! I actually welled up when they got back to the house and George was in tears then he was overjoyed and it all got terribly emotional and teary..blub..sniff...can't go on..

the revelation of Lias death was a little predictable - i was actually hoping for a little more from her 'supernatural' character, there are so many folklores and beings that could be brought into it.

'steak and chips'! brilliant. the idea of vampires organising wolf fights is genius. amazing episode. the characters in BH, esp the lead four, are so genuine, really wonderful.

what can i say well you have made an awesome tv experience even better, Paul Kaye and Robson Green were amazing great casting... and also a big hello to sinead keenan who shares the same surname as me lol.. she is wow brill... cant wait for the next 7 ep of the season, want the dvd already lol gonna have to watch season one on dvd again the next 7 days are gonna draggg lol lol...

Okay as I'm still catching up George and Nina together on a full moon theories on how they could have a possible werewolf baby are now appeased as they were changed at the conception point?

Also does this mean they might be changing together in the future?

Wow! Really happy with the decision to move the location, gives us an excuse to have a brand new set of supporting characters.



Loved the Johnny Rotten vampire, "Stake and chips, anyone?" has to be the best final line ever spoken.



The full moon scenes were gripping as ever, Nina was awesome coming to get George out. Pergatory wasn't what I expected but it was very interesting as a way of making Mitchell feel a fraction of the hurt he has caused.



And what is this ... death by werewolf! :O It can't happen! Methinks they will show how this affects Mitchell, are they trying to make him distance himself from his friends? :O



Next week: Teen vampire, if we don't get a Twilight joke, I will be disappoint. :D

I think the mitchell and annie love story is based on that thing that keanu reeves and sandra bullock have at the end of speed... you know intense feelings based on shared intense experiences! lol!

@CherryBonBon - yeah I guessed Lia's 'secret' from the start too. Sounds like a seat number I thought, bet she's from the train.



However I'm not going to put too much faith in her 'prophecy'. I don't think we've been given any reason to trust what she says, assuming she's even who she pretends to be. When they were after Annie before they lied and played mind games. One of them took Annie's form to taunt her so 'Lia' might well not BE Lia.



For next week we see them taunting Mitchell through the TV. I just think they're messing with him, trying to get him to distrust George and Nina, drive a wedge between him an his friends. I wouldn't trust them to tell me the time of day.

Oh my god Lia's prophecy has got me feeling really scared for Mitchell. He can't be killed off.



I have to admit it took a while to get use to Lacey as Lia, rather than stacy!! She really did an amazing job.

Wow, I'm still taking it all in!!

That was a truely, truely incredible episode! The balance of humour and darkness was perfect. The plot was fantastic. The characters were amazing. The emotion was..... Gah! The whole thing was so darn BRILLIANT! :D I nearly spilt my drink over the laptop on several occasions, and quite possibly scared my flatmates with gasps and laughing! It probably wasn't such a good idea to eat so many Party Rings though! ;)



I really loved Lia, and her prophecy is especially chilling with the possiblity of Aidan not being in the next series. They can't have Being Human WITHOUT Mitchell though, can they? Annie, Mitchell and George ARE Being Human! o.O

Ewan, I cannot believe that you don't seem to have mentioned Nina's sexy number that she wears for George! & oh god, we've talked about werewolf babies at length before on the blog. I wonder if Nina is on the pill, would it work while she was in werewolf form...?

Baby werewolf a possibility because everything is possible in Being Human. And I suspect there'll be a few very large red herrings in S3..



The look on Nina's and George's faces in that police station....I couldn't take my eyes off Sinead. Her facial expressions were just...just...*speechless*



I feel quite overcome. I must have a cold shower...seeing Mitchell and Annie reunited...well, I shed a tear over that and George at the end, and when they were all playing around in front of the beach mural and wearing leis (flower garlands). Because we all know it's not safe and it won't be for seven weeks.



Can't thank you enough BBC3, Lord Toby, and everyone...again...sorry but this is just bleedin' amazin.

i personally dont think they should have brought herrick back (controversial!) - im pretty sure that george would have ingested a large portion of him and most vamp lore reckons you need all the body parts to bring a vamp back...

@CherryBonBon - hmmm, no idea really. We were given a reason for their thing about Annie, turning down the door and all, but letting her go so they can mess with Mitchell's mind? Obviously the Long Game but what that may be I haven't the foggiest :-)

The Mitchell in Purgatory scenes reminded me of Punchdrunk/dreamthinkspeak site-specific performances.

Amazing start to the series, more werewolves (huzzah!) and Annie reunited with the others. Really looking forward to next weeks episode :) but not to Mitchell's prophecy! A wolf-shaped bullet?? :S

The Amino sack - Might need correction on the name I know - Well it is filled with Amniotic Fluid the Word being 'Fluid' There by there is a chance that that baby could survive gestation. Not getting crushed by the change it's self.



Other debates were on time of Gestation - How long would Nina be pregnant for the full nine months more less



The debate will rage until the answer is given.

i agree, it was great to see more humour and there were so many lovley little touches that made me smile :0) thought mitchell might have had a sneaky look at nina in her smalls - at last George has a fittie!

My summary of the first episode:



(Mitchel saw a thing about stacy (lia) who he killed on the train with daisy this comes later) Lia was showing him these doors and he had to pick some and he talked to lia and then eventually came to the train where Lia told him he killed her and eventually mitchel said stuff and it got better, lia said he could have annie back but she told him that he will be killed by a werewolf, mitchell leaves meets annie and they hug,they get teleported back to wales where mitchel told annie that they moved there. They had a party and Geogre cryed and there were lots of hugs. This is where mitchell sees a thing on TV about lia but turns it off and ignores it then they mess about and have fun while annie gives a little *over voice speech*. There is also these other two werewolfs one gets kidnapped by a vampire and the other rescues him (note - If you watch the video in this blog it has about these two new werewolfs)

I love this series so much. Steak and chips, classic.



I must apologise to all Bristolians for stealing BH, but it was great to see places I know (OK, I'm in Cardiff, but it's as good as). I've been to that funfair, had tea in the that cafe (two of them!), walked along that front. And I've been to that hosptial so many times. It's just great to place-spot!



Pity Paul Kay was killed off, that would have been a great recurring character, but I am still waiting for Herrick and there would have been conflict there, I could feel it in my blood.



Interesting about George and Nina changing together and doing, erm, stuff. Does this mean than if two warewolves have a strong bond they won't fight each other? McNair and Son as well? Could this be why, all that time ago, George calmed down when he could smell Nina at the end of Series 1, just after he'd infected her? Not that she was a warewolf, but that she was Nina the warewolf? Hmmmmm...



I was nearly in tears when George told Mitchell to come back, Russell Tovey is so good.

WOOOW just got winded by a thought run with me on this 1 guys or tell me to jog on!!!Don't usually do theories.

Our guys are strongest when they work together. What would happen if you could turn them against each other???? The threat of death by potentially 1 of your friends and of course a relationship which could end badley?? Is phrophecy a form of revenge in the Long Game???

I thought the episode was fantastic :) Truly worth waiting an entire year for. I wasn't too hot on last series, although it had its definite highlights, but this episode renewed a lot of my faith in the series.



I, admittedly, cannot judge the first 15 mins very accurately, because a family member was talking all the way through it, so I won't refer to it. However, when I was able to focus, it was wonderful. A good rich blend of storylines, with drama and gore mixed in with comedy. It was a lot darker than series 1, but it was just as well balanced. I've always loved Being Human's ability to be really gory or saddening and yet still make you giggle the next minute (Series 1 - Gilbert going through the door cutting to Nina and George in the throes of passion, anyone?). Nina and George were really funny this episode (and I never expected them to hurt one another for a second). Did anyone else find it ironic that the werewolf was caught dogging? Nina's fighting against the transformation was just hilarious, and I'm beginning to wonder if the pitter-patter of wolfbaby feet might be a prospect storyline. But yes, it grounded the story wonderfully. We needed a human story to balance out all the trauma of Annie/Mitchell and McNair, after all.



I loved the image of purgatory we got to see. It was all quite eerie. I was really interested in what we'd see last series, and although I wanted to see more, I enjoyed what I saw. It's pretty much what I figured it would be like. It was very clever bringing back the victims of the train though, it seems Mitchell's crimes are coming back to bite him metaphorically and literally. It was sadistically intriguing watching Mitchell break down... Lia did make me question my view that he is a good guy. What are a hundred major sins against good intentions? Talk about creepy. I'm interested to see how this will effect Michell's character, not just the plotline, because he's having to completely rethink his life and self. I loved how Lia, a very human and completely-unangelic character, was the one to lead him through it, it was nice we didn't have a pure and holy guide, it would have made the whole thing much too serious XD A brilliant bit of writing there :) I only wish the scene in the train had gone on longer.



McNair's storyline was cool and pretty chilling, but since he isn't established yet (and because the interruptions stopped me from listening to all the things that went on in the beginning), I couldn't feel much towards him. George being locked in a prison cell while transforming was more worrying because I love him. Still, it was chilling nevertheless, and I seriously felt for the poor guy locked in the cage with him. He never stood a chance :( I was slightly sad the ringmaster dude was killed though, he looked like he could have been interesting... On the whole, I don't have a solid opinion yet. I'll tell you how I feel about them next episode.



So yeah, wonderfully written and acted all round. I was thoroughly pleased :) I can't wait to see how it all pans out. It's hooked me again. And I want to rewatch the episode in the dark, alone so I can actually hear all the plotline tomorrow XD

77 - Too right FB - would bring a whole new level of anxiety for an expectant father! Can you see his wee face when they go for the scan! Might be getting too ahead of things here though - can the next few weeks just be made up of Sundays please?!

Could a warewolf shaped bullet be a silver bullet meant for George that Mitchell takes through the heart? That's his trade off for Annie? Lia liked riddles, and Mitchell being killed by a warewolf may be a bit too obvious. Or am I just in BH overdrive?



OK, someone call the men in white coats...

I thought Lia was going to be Satan, was that just me?





These werewolf baby things are interesting, I reckon it would definitely get the werewolf gene if it was concieved in their wolf states.



I kind of had an inkling Nina and George's wolves wouldn't kill eachother becuase if you remember at the end of series 1 George's wolf just stared at her.



So that's nice for them. :)



Oh yeah that reminds me: Does Tom using the chicken on a string trick meant he met/ his dad met Tully?



Could Tully have even converted one or both of them?

Oh and don't forget about the party guys!

@DF - I got the impression that Tully hadn't converted anyone else, explaining his obsession with finding George and becoming his best buddy. The chicken trick might be a common one passed around the werewolf community? Which would imply a lot more werewolves than we've seen evidence of so far.

Lets remeber they did say with this series the struggle would come from withing the group. With that we've never really see anyone fall out with each other big time. Could this be it?

@deadlyfurniture - maybe the chicken on a string thing is a general werewolf ritual, like passed on the grapevine so to speak, not something that tully specifically created himself.

I've not spoken to ONE person who didn't think the episode was absolutely fantastic and got some new recruits too who just watched it as their first ever Being Human experience hehe and they loved it too!



I know we're just the fans but I dunno about anyone else, I actually feel quite proud when it does well...In the same way football fans do when "their team" wins lol Team being human all the way :-) can't wait for next week and for becoming human!! Woo!!
