I hope Lloyd sees the error of his ways at some point but for now he is on the naughty step!

Wow! That was great! Is is definitely a lot darker than series 1, and I loved the transformation sequence! I reckon there's more to Lloyd than meets the eye - though I hope we find out what happened to him after the last cenSSA post... was there a clue in the coming-up trailer or was I just imagining it?

I loved the first episode, I really really did, but it was such a jump from the first series. It was way way darker than I expected and if I'm honest I really missed the funny stuff. The goldfish bit was the only really funny bit. I'm sticking with it cos I love the show, but I hope it gets a bit closer to the first series' tone over the series

Ok 1) must they keep getting george naked? Theres only so many cold showers I can have before eventually get pneumonia

2) Yay for Lloyd do love him in this episode

3) for the record I think Lucy is the professor - or is that too obvious? I dunno :-S

4) Nina's werewolf freaks the **** outa me so much scarier looking that Georges but how good is Sinead - totally rises to Russells level :-)

I agree it was amazing but I must admit I feel a bit numb at the moment. I think it's taking a while to settle. It was a huge surprise to see Lloyd - I really wasn't expecting that and it was great.

I must admit, I expected a ton of gore at even the sheer mention of 'compression chamber' because they really don't cause good results when used by dodgy lunatic teams (saw that coming a mile off.) I couldn't watch that scene near the end, that much gore my god. /a wuss right here.



I feel bad because I'm happy Nina's a werewolf, not real and all, but god you have to feel sorry for her! Bloody glad she told George and he stopped cheating on her- sadly the teaser burst that bubble though.



On the teaser note: I think I just broke at George in a cave. ;-;

This was great the second time around..but I have to say nothing tops seeing it on the big screen..almost felt it was in 3D on Thursday.



So..what are w all thinking about LLoyd now..! suggestion there that he might not be enjoying the cruelty and gore etc...he may turn out to be a help to our heroes.



Something that stuck me on Thursday...Kemp seems to be on some sort of religious mission...or has he been put up to this by the Prof?



Lucy and her goldfish...god move there Mitchell...she seems a nice normal person at this stage but we all know in BH worls that all is never what it seems.



thought Amy Manson was great as Daisy in this eps...and George going off te rails a little ( literally!) ....wonder what Nina will do if/when she finds out...talking of Nina...she seems to have accepted her new 'thing' in a way...early days...think things may very well change for her.



And the transformation vid is great guys!

alismooth believe me watching sex scenes doesn't get any easier: we had our 16 year old daughter watching it with us and it was just as cringey as watching with parents!!

what a cram-packed hour.... they have so set up the key themes for the new series so well. goodness knows how long it took them to film that 60 minutes of material....



now.... i really disliked george in the first half of the episode. if i were nina i would have been tempted to walk right past him on that bridge bit. however, she has so much compassion in her character.



it's all heating up nicely, but i'd like to watch the series all in one go - don't want to have to wait another week.



so, how come everyone can see annie now? and as for daisy - she is so much better than in her little trailer. she's not going to leave george alone until she lures him towards the darker side.... she probably has other more murderous uses for him in mind.



i'm hoping that next week will bring more exhaling at aidan opportunities - he wasn't smouldering enough this week for me!



thoroughly enjoyable first episode. the hour just flew by.... but these guys are gonna have to run for their lives for the rest of the series..... it's gonna continue to be very exciting...

On the topic of Saul I instantly thought it meant, what with the way he was sorta shaky that he's sick.

I love this show!! it is so well written Annie is so funny and liked the whole George being a bit of an idiot while trying to cope with everything, they could have easily made it as nothing happened like on other shows. But if he carries on cheating on nina in series 3 if you need a guy for her i'm your man!

Blood, gore, sex, violence, drama, comedy, intrigue, thrills, spills, irony, sarcasm, mud, dead deer, live goldfish, tears, accusations, infidelity; it had it all really! Being Human- officially loving it!!! I really need to go to bed but all I want to do is watch it again on the iplayer! I think twitter and facebook nearly exploded with all the comments!

Just a thought - Herrick took some sort of drugs didnt he...and Mitchell, like any addict, gets shaky when he's not had a fix.

Ohmygod first episode was INCREDIBLE!! SOOOO tense!! :O Annie's "I'm a barmaid so I have to be cockney" thing made me giggle though xD George was acting very scandalously!! I was quite appalled :C But then he came back at the end!! I so wanted to give him a hug xD

And I can't believe I've been missing out on so much online!! I was so obsessive over the last series, but never posted - only lurked. I promised I'd get involved in the fandom for the new series, but I was too shy so didn't venture over... For a series opener that was vast.



So pleased that they revealed Nina IS a werewolf early on. It was so wrenching watching George and Nina react to this... we've still to see what happens about George *mating with* Daisy the vampire. Please tell me that was full moon testorone because I thought George would've known better.



Thus far, it looks like Mitchell is going on a different journey, by way of lacking purpose and reaching out to build bridges, with the neighbours and Dr Goldfish-lady.



I liked the subtle changes to Annie in her clothing and how she was the light relief with her getting a job. Although I think it'll all end in tears. Nice chemistry between Nina and Annie during their intimate conversations.



On CENSSA... they're experimenting on unsuspecting supernaturals and are onto our friends... it was a big teaser with more to come next week. Do they want experiment on the house mates or take them out?



How creepy was it, that the old lady in the hospital was Daisy's (who looks twentysomething) daughter? And George's speech about which side they're on, stomach knots right there.



Then end scene was the perfect juxtaposition of our supernaturals and humans, and between now as the calm before the storm. We're gonna see these charactors go through the mill, and then some.



I cannot wait until next Sunday. My head is scrambled with that episodes' brilliance, so I'll watch it again then follow up.

Oh my word. All kinds of fab!

Loved the first episode!!



George- loved how he came bakc to himself near the end- that was really nice and sweet but SOOO sad with Nina- all their conversations were so intense I was GLUED to the screen I tell you.



Nina- Well. Sinead was amazing! the transformation, the arguement with george, the- everything was amazing.



Annie- flirting with Mr Handsome! haha... I do have a feeling he is a bit of bad news but i'm not sure and think i'm just being skeptical- the BAR guy though, so obviously gonna have a thing with Annie. (god i hope Gilbert's not watching from heaven!)



Mitchell- very distant from the rest i think, as though he thought they all had enough on their plate!



Lucy though- totally something weird about her, think she's been roped in, is the professor or something! I mean the crying was definately fake...i'm POSITIVE!

After the warnings that this episode was gory, I was thinking 'uh-oh' when it got to the compression chamber - no good was going to come of that! But I was actually relieved, because I figured he was going to die in a much more messy way!



Is it worrying that I didn't think it was gory when everyone else seems to think it was? Maybe I've seen too many Tarantino & horror films? XD



Brilliant start to the series though, glad it's back!

Want to know more about Ivan though whats he got instore for the guys? obviously asked daisy to seduce george cause he played it really cool while his mrs bumped uglies with a werewolf.would of liked to have seen more from him

Just wrote a long note and lost the lot - Iphone small keypad! Have kept off blog since Thursday as didn't wanto give away any spoilers. Loved seeing it again & actually preferred it on smaller screen. Loved Annie in this episode but don't trust Saul. Daisy interesting & not sure Nina's going to be to happy with George's activities with her! Thought Nina was very convincing as someone who had just discovered she was a warewolf. Not sure about Mitchell's involvment with Lucy?

Can't wait for next week now!

relly really enjoyed it. Imnow on here but have always loved the show though due to work commitments missed a few eps though did catch up on the replays resently then on iplayer,again just like meny here and now addicted.And everyone at work thought i was madd.



I felt sori for both george and nina at the start though wen he done the dirty there was a lil part of me that died. Do think they'll stort it out though.



Very surprised to see lloyd. I knew censsa wasn't real but didn't expect it to become part of BH, maybe should have seen it coming.



Not a lot of the very sexy aiden though, Loved trevor, especialy as i like human names for animals, my lizzards called barry.

Oh My Giddy Aunt - BH was so amazing. I dont think I took a breath for a whole hour. We've been wating for 10 months for it to come back with a second series, and it is finally here and it was fantastic. I love the new darker side of BH and think I went from loving to hating to loving George about a million times (he's my fave). Not sure if i'm liking the Daisy chick, her character is very similar to Lauren. Very happy that the comedy element was still there - the line about the lipstick I thought was very funny.



Cant wait for next week - looks like an even better episode is coming....

Oh my god!!! I loved it!

I adore Daisy's character, Amy Manson's so good at playing her! Although the sex scene with george was just...bizarre....and I'm not sure I liked the way Ivan was looking on, kinda hurt...



That scene with the compression chamber made me wanna throw up! Not good with blood, or needle=y lines or anything, really grossed me out!



Nina and george's revelation storyline made me cry so much, when george was hanging onto her in tears, so well acted, as was nina's bit where she told him she was a werewolf, then laughed, very good acting :)



Cannot wait for next episode after that!

Argh my mum insisted on watching Wallander on the only TV with a digital box, even though it's on BBC1 boooo.... Lucky I have seen episode 1 already so I don't have to avoid spoilers ;)



The scene where Nina transforms broke my heart and almost made me cry. I didn't dislike George at all at the start, the whole thing with him and Nina both dealing with their enormous problems/changes alone and feeling like the other didn't want to know... And then when she finally tells him what's happened he can't take it in, the moment he realises what he has to do the George we know and love was back immediately... Only it clearly won't be happy ever after just yet, something tells me Daisy isn't going to let him go that easy! :/



Ivan and Daisy are awesome (especially Daisy) and HOW intriguing is the whole CenSSA/werewolf experiments/bad guy thing!? I won't give my review/opinion as there are so many already, I won't be saying anything new! Don't think I can wait a whole week for episode 2!

Hi, another long time lurker first time poster-that sounded a lot less weird when I thought it out in my head. Anyway, Hi ^_^



I know now what everybody meant when they said that this series was going to be darker, they weren't kidding. Poor Nina, I feel so bad for her, the transformation scene looked so painful and then there was the whole thing with George threatening her then the Daisy buisness, lol, I didn't know where to look, I wanted to slap the guy D:. I'm not sure about lucy, I don't trust her for some reason. I thought she was pulling the whole damsel in distress routine, maybe it was just me. I actually thought the blond man in the pub liked annie, maybe they'll have something going on later. I'm really loving the censsa vids too, Lloyd can't be all bad, the bit with the chamber grossed me out, the poor guy.



Anyway, loving things so far :)

well im watchin it again now. there was too much to take in. I remeber seeing something which was insignifficant to the plot but sparked something of a clue though i cant remember now so on this second veiwing i'll see if i can still point it out

Very good! I wasn't keen on the George/vampire girl affair thing. Felt a bit out of character to me, what with being the the loyal moral doggy boy that he is. It felt a bit like they stuck in a bit of explicit rumpy pumpy in just to spice up the show... which wasn't needed. I understand that George has been through a lot having killed someone and his relationship with Nina being on the rocks due to her own issues but series 2 is only set a few weeks after the first series! It's not that long!



Apart from that, I thought it was very good. I'm curious about the Cennsa broadcasts on this site. The chap acts like he's just finding out about these creatures, although they had a werewolf in their building in this very episode! (Mind you it might be set before.) Curious it was Lauren who led him to the other three though, considering the way last series ended with Annie's ex... Mind you each person in the organisation might be keeping stuff from the others.

wow! that was sooo different, really interesting, i can see some amazing storylines forming out of this! it seems like they're cramming so much more into each episode... can't wait to see how it all unfolds!!!

seven days and counting till ep 2!

Hmm.. I'm happy to see the characters back.. but in all honesty i thought the episode was a bit of a mess.



I know they've been announcing the show would get 'darker'.. but I kind of expected that to mean just a bit larger in scale and more murder and death and evil villains. Ivan and 'Crazy Daisy' and the experiments fit in with that and I don't have a problem with them.. it's the main 4 and all their bloody angst I cant stand!



And yeah, I was prepared for a BIT more angst and suffering.. I knew 'darker' would mean more drama..



But I have to say i didn't find it very compelling viewing..



Most of the episode was taken up with really miserable, long, emotional speeches.. it was really unsubtle to be honest.



I don't know.. something was really off tonally. It's not just that there's been a change in tone.. it seems really.. mixed up. Like.. okay, if you're going to have people in such a state... make it absorbing to watch! Make us hang on every word of dialogue! Surprise us! It just seemed a bit drab and imprecise.. particularly that scene in George's room that led up to Nina telling him the truth. That was such a lumpy, odd scene.. What was George's accusation about Mitchell about? It felt forced.. yeah i know there was a hint in the opening scene.. but for George to accuse his best friend.. Id need to see more explanation.. George has changed too much in too little time and we havent seen him change.. the only explanation has been his whining about relationship trouble at the start and that 'explanatory' speech from Daisy about 'crossing the line' into evil or whatever.. again.. it's all talk..we weren't SHOWN



Did people notice all the new, weird, unnecessary camera angles/movement and the ott instrumental music?? And then the pop music tracks always seemed to jar a bit when they started up.. but maybe that was just because the writing wasnt very smooth.



The humour! Good god, where did the humour go? Yes yes, i know.. DARKNESS... but there's still room for a few jokes, even if they are wry and cynical! The forced perkiness of the Annie in the pub scenes didn't work all that well for me... it was okay, but not like last series.



There was a small moment of relief at the end when they were in the kitchen.. and Nina made a face and went 'I'm a werewolf!'. That was genuinely amusing... awkward, sweet, funny.



Having George do all THAT with Daisy in the car park BEFORE we saw the tension between him and Nina first-hand (the chat with Mitchell in the pub was not enough set up for me) was really weird... I felt like the plot was racing on without caring whether it lost the viewer..



It was rushed.. a lot of it seemed rushed.. and yet at the same time all that talking felt flabby and overwrought..



ONE agonised scene with Nina would have been enough... Everything was so... overdone.



I didn't think much of that Lucy chick.. those scenes were kinda cheap and stupid in my opinion.. The way Mitchell blurted out how miserable and lost and isolated he was feeling with in a minute of meeting the woman was silly.. goldfish was bad romcom.



And there were so few scenes with the three together... I think there was a warning a while back about the 3 getting 'driven apart' this series... that seems more ominous to me now.. There's so much lost by not having the 3 interact..



Im hoping this was just the machine grinding back into life... like my car engine spluttering as I try to warm it up in the morning and scrape the ice off the windscreen! .. now the ugly noises have died away, maybe we can change it up a gear and start moving in an interesting direction..



Maybe next week the storyline will be a little more focused and subtle.. we'll have some 'down time', some 'show dont tell' moments.. some real, proper humour.. the camera will stop dancing about, that weird woman's voice will stop wailing like it's an episode of doctor who..



I feel like maybe the show has bitten off more than it can chew.. I hope things work out...



Buffy reference was nice.. Is Nina the werewolf that Oz runs off with? She was kind of the 'Daisy' there I guess...



But Buffy always found the balance between epic drama and entertainment... :|



This reminds me of when I watched Moonlighting season 4 episode 1.. when that show was good it was sparky and funny and quick-witted and great.. but on a bad day, when the writers were lost or had a dodgy plotline.. it was clunky as hell and agony to watch..





I'll keep watching, because I love the characters.. but I can't in good conscience tell my friends to do the same .. until I've seen ep 2.

Oh also, you know when George says Mitchell has 'no purpose'.. i kind of felt like Mitchell's situation was like Toby's in terms of the writing.. with the last plot/villain Herrick wrapped up, he's left facing the wide wide world of possible plot developments, with no idea of what to choose.. so everything feels a bit frustrating and he just sits around feeling lethargic and grumpy. Lol, just something that came to mind..

I have to admit Bex I did say that on Thursday - that I thought the start seemed quite messy and rushed when I first saw it - and it didnt really pull me in the way series 1 did but have to say as the episode went on I thought it got much better but obviously you don't agree? Ok structure wise it isn't really perfect and I did notice there were some quirky camera angles but I put that down to my media brain working overtime lol and most of my friends who watched it with a normal viewing head on didnt notice :-S and I cant say it really distracted me from the story and the acting well the acting was amazing!!



Hmm I do agree with you on one other point though - I would have liked more scenes with our 3/4 all together. I loved the dynamic of George, Mitchell and Annie in series 1 and the scene with them and Nina in this episode - that was brilliant it made me giggle and felt much more like the BH we know and love :-)



As for the humour - I was worried it might get lost in the dark stuff too but having seen it a second time it really made me laugh - mainly Annie - bless her I'm liking her storyline a lot and I love that Lenora's getting the chance to do some more comedy acting she does it so well - fantastic comic timing!



Hmm and I have to ask "woman wailing like an episode of doctor who" ? Who'd you mean Daisy? I'm loving Daisy lol she's mad and odd and dont quite know what to make of her but fun fun fun all the way campers!



And yes it was a bit angsty but erm you're fighting an addiction, your mates killed someone, infected his girlfriend with some wierd disease, oh yeah and your other housemates casper...not to mention the fact theres a couple of wierd druggies after you who cant seem to decide whether they wanna kill you or **** you half the time - it's not gonna be, as Nina put it "all wine and roses" lol course its gonna be angsty!



Like I said I don't have a "blind loyalty" to the show and admit that it has its faults but I certainly don't agree it was as bad as you say but each to their own :-P





Another thought that came to me while talking to a friend about the show - its like George is going through the stages of greif isnt it the whole denial thing then anger then bargaining now we've got depression and then hopefully acceptance - the depression and acceptance - he's sort of dabbled in those lol but not been through them properly...I'm so glad I could hug Russell after I first saw it lol all the way through all I wanna do is hug George so its the next best thing lol

85 - yeah I did lol he has a sax :-P can just imagine Mitchell playing the sax lol think he'd make it look a lot sexier than I did when I used to play :-P

Oh and Bex - the "cheesy romcom" Lol yes it is very but in my experience thats pretty much the only training most men have for being romantic lol!

Mitchell probably thinks hes being sweet...and it is pretty sweet...the only fish I've ever been bought was covered in batter and served with chips and ketchup lol!



Dont forget though Mitchell - a fish is for life not just for christmas :-P





Hmm this business with the professor...Its gotta be Lucy or Saul hasnt it??



I wanna know why George is in that cage :-( at least he doesnt get caught by censsa I suppose? if he was theyd have him in that compression thing...maybe he built it for himself? Well I say he I mean Mitchell did it or they got a man in lol Bless him he couldnt even board that window up in episode 4 :-P

And aslo I know I'm not the only one who found it quite exciting when Tom and Derek and Marcus's names came on the credits lol there was a little cheer on thursday...mainly from the bloggers obviously but yay :-)



Everyone keeps saying how out of character the George/Daisy thing was...I cant quite decide whether I like it or not - no doubt its good for the show but I did like having a character to love lol but then I still do and you can tell why hes doing it like I said to my friend - 1. Hes a bloke 2. Hes angry (re stages of greif thing) and 3. its his time of the month so hes even more annoyed and how to you say it nicely erm "erotically charged" Lol

Amazing! I thought perhaps the second series would take a little time to warm up and gain momentum but there's already so much to talk about!

Nina...OMG! I really thought up until the last minute that she wouldn't change and it would end with her realising she wanted no part of supernatural life and therefore George. Didn't she look cool though?



Daisy- Brilliant! She's cheeky and quite the little temptress.



George- OMG George has turned into quite the stud hasn't he? It's interesting to see the changes in his character though.



Annie- Genius! I laughed and laughes at her tonight.



Mitchell- Seems more at peace with himself..for the moment.



And the whole Censsa storyline is great! Can't wait for episode two now, well done guys!

VF: Hello...did you enjoy it (like you didn't!)...was hoping to have had contact with you last week but guessed you'd been a bit busy.





Thought the little 'pretend' sobbing in the unisex loo was a bit strange and think Lucy is definitely up to something, unsure what, exactly...the crying bit was to get Mitchell's sympathy, she sure did that....like she knew his character wasn't all bad...



George is going through every kind of emotion...considering he's fairly anal in the first place, he seems unable to sort his emotions out anyway, so the fact that he turned arrogant and uncaring was just an extension of his character issues...as soon as he realised what he'd done, like Nina said, he was gutted...when he bumped into her in the corridor it all came to a head..he's been a naughty boy with Daisy though...whatever possessed him (don't answer that, it was the night before the full moon wasn't it, when he was in the car park with her?)...Mitchell said "be careful George...I know her"...wonder if she's done the same to him as she did with George? She's fairly unhinged but I'm wondering whether it's because she always was unstable or whether her lifestyle has made her that way...Ivan watching in the woods with her and George was strange, couldn't work out whether Ivan was hurt, angry or worried...probably all three!



Saw the musical instruments in Mitchell's room...it made sense somehow!



Saul is baaaad for Annie! Sorry, but this guy is up to no good (I'm probably totally wrong!)...I wondered if he was a vampire or werewolf who was on the scientific test programme, hence the fact that he's taking medication of some sort to "assist" with either the investigations CenSSA may be doing on him, or to stave off his vampire/werewolf tendencies...I do know about this type of medical thing so it would make sense.



Sinead and George's transformations were incredible...all that prosthetic stuff...god, I couldn't be assed with that! The acting was superb, heaven knows how she did that, courage indeed..



The decompression chamber stuff was gory...in fact i was more emotional about that than i was about George and Nina in the corridor! There's a certain religious mania about Kemp...



There will be more humour I'm sure! Remember the bit with the police bursting into Mitchell's room in one of the videos?...there's bound to be more of that somewhere although to try and fit in more humour and more darkness I guess they'd have to be careful getting the balance right.



There's a whole seven episodes to get through yet so I'm sure that now the first one is out of the way and has 'set the scene' for us, the story will unfold. All i can say is, be patient and see how it all ends up dovetailing together...with someone of Toby's calibre writing, it ain't going to be bad!

I didnt get this post up on my computer til this morning!! wondered where everyone was last night - I was still stalking the last post!!

I think Ivan and Daisy are both off their respective rockers in their own way. who would watch their girlfriend - just remembered I'm on the beeb not FB and no rude words allowed - up to a bit of how's ur father in the woods with someone else and not do something about it? It's all part of some plan that those two have got going, you mark my words.

Loved sinead's acting, loved the whole George/Nina/werewolf thing - like we didnt know she was going to turn into one!! did feel a teeny urge to give George a talking to when he was whining on to Nina in the bedroom tho - sorry eagle lol
