DID YOU REALLY THINK WE'D LEAVE YOU...?

New to BH?Watch out, this post contains spoilers from series one...
If Mitchell can receive a good old-fashioned staking and survive to fight Herrick, then the BH blog certainly isn't going to roll over and die just because series one is over...
That's right, the blog will continue over the next few months and right through into series two. We'll continue to bring you insightful behind-the-scenes videos, keep stirring the discussion pot with ask-the-audience polls and bring you all the latest production news from the set of series two.
So if you're looking for a place to chat all things Being Human, then look no further. We might even steal Toby Whithouse from time to time to let you know how he's getting on with all that writing...
So chill out, unpack your bags and sit back down...The next few months might feel like a long time to wait, but if we stick together I think we might just get through it.We've got loads of ideas for great features, but what would you guys like to see?Or know?Leave your comments below and we'll see what we can do.
And stay tuned for more updates soon!

There are so many things that I would 'love' for... set things in the house tbh.
I know loads of great, fresh'ish ways to boast young blog ratings for very little money but I'm so not going to tell you because it would make me feel dirty and this blog would turn into yuck within minutes. I hope that dedicated BH nuts who pushed for this series will get the best of these offers. But someat tells me it'll be a free for all this time next feb with plenty of upset.

hmm what would we like to see/know - no doubt ill have some more ideas over the next few weeks lol but thanks BH production team you guys are brilliant doing all these behind the scenes videos and things theyve really made the series even more brilliant

Okeydoke.. requests... wow...
Um.. ok well this is a lot to ask but a blog or discussion of ALL the vampire/ghost/werewolf rules would be good.
e.g... how physically present can annie be? she can pick things up.. but not ingest them.. how far can she replicate a human physicality?? if she cried and someone gave her a hanky.. would it get wet?
e.g. vampires dont have a pulse because i guess their blood isn't sustained by oxygen but by that 'life-force' malarky.. so are vampires hot or cold blooded?
e.g.if Mitchell's not drinking the life-force/blood will he start to age? what makes them immortal?
and most importantly.. do silver bullets kill werewolves or will anything do??
um what else what else..
oh well yeah competitions would be great - particularly one whose prize was a set visit!! yes indeed.
actors/directors/writers commentary on a scene would be grrreat. not action sequence stuff but the artsy stuff please. But if not then at least put some on the DVD!!
writing competition.. we all submit ideas for a small one off comedy webisode and the winning idea gets made!
stories about the process leading up to being human going into production.. the fan support story, the personal accounts by the producers who got behind it, the casting process, the location scouting... more from toby on the writing process... where did the idea for the show originally come from?
fan surveys.. predictions for next series, polls on what we want to see happen (e.g. owen/bernie/tully return, Nina go evil rampage, Annie and Mitchell romance!!)
fan-art submissions?
more in the photo gallery PLEASE!
a day in the life of the script supervisor...
and please please PLEASE... out-takes and bloopers.
ok. that's enough from me... for now ;)

(Forgive me for the following, but I'm a web design student and I can't help myself, and, well, you DID ask..)
Any chance of a bit of a style overhaul? For example, have you seen the Horne and Corden mini-site? It's stunning! I'd love a little more colour, and to get it optimised for 1024x768 resolution instead of the old 800x600. It'd be great to see the gallery used a bit more, and the links in the sidebar could be updated to reflect more recent news (Narin has posted quite a few BH articles since the one linked).
Purely as an example, I've always really admired the Skins mini-site over on E4; it has an attractive design and the content is great, particularly the cast blogs and the pictures section. The latter would be great for showing series 2 production :)

Taking shots of the cameras and setup, having a quick chat with a crew member integral to one of the scenes, showing the director interacting with the actors, etc. It wouldn't need to be one of the main cast either, I really enjoy seeing the supporting cast in the blog. it would be a more personal way of taking us behind the scenes, plus you'd still get all the adorable goofing around that the three of them enjoy so much :D

- Outtakes - yay!
- Bigger Galery.
- More about the artwork - ie sketches of costumes/storyboards/setdesigns etc.
- More in depth look at all the different roles make up camera crew director/editing stuff
- Competitions where you win summat interesting a dinner date with Mitchell?? ;) or just a a day watching filming/interview with one of the cast/ being an extra.
- Peetaking episode just on the web. Perhaps the ol classic of a dream sequence each, where all manner of rediculous things can happen. Ie role swap, George becomes the ultimate cool vampire, and even gets to have a love affair, except it's with Herrick or Seth in sexy lauren style clothes. Annie turns hairy and scary, Mitchel minces about in grey flappy clothes a curly wig and uggs.

I think a competition to win a day on the BH set sounds good. also any auctions of bits left lying around, eg george's glasses, mitchell's gloves etc any iconic memorabilia like that!

thanks so much for that interview with toby link!!
Wow that is SUCH an interesting genesis story. I really like that the characters began simply as human beings with human problems. Mitchell as a recovering sex addict? LOL. I guess that's still kind of true actually.. All those problems stayed with them.. just with an added... twist!
Fantastic stuff :)

Having read a few i'm loving the ideas you've all come up with and what a fab idea for a chance for one of us BH fans to have the chance to win a 'money can't buy' prize, such as the day on the set. That would be great!! Sorry don't want to sound like a parrot but 'more gallery pics', 'more video diaries' etc etc PLEASE. And Toby some of your wild, vivid, spectacular notions on vampires, Lycans and ghosts you realy do have a nack for answering all those mad questions!! :0

Thanks so much for keeping the blog up. IF you're answering questions - I have one that's been bugging me. What is it with Mitchell's hair? What does Mitchell do with his hair? Does he cut it himself, or is there some vampire barber who won't faint upon noticing he has no reflection?

I agree with the folks who suggested having an actor make a video diary taking viewers through the making of a particular scene, that'd be pretty cool. Or videos of the guys rehearsing.
Maybe some fun stupid stuff like games on the site...a vampire-staking one?!
Are we having to wait until next year for season two? No chance of hurrying things up and getting it on tv by, I don't know, next week?! ;)

production company should (prior post from

Having watched (and greatly enjoyed) the entire
series, it's a real pity that such liberties are
being taken with so many well established and
powerful aspects of the lycan and vampyric mythos'.
The first thing that gets me when George, unless
he's simply being hyperbolic, says, that he's not
immortal... Of course both Lycans and Vampyres are
immortal (barring a good slaying that is of course);
and both creatures heal almost instantly...
Lycan senses are elevated all the time - as are
a vampyre's. And WTF is up with Mitchell eating
and drinking food/beer/etc?! he's dead - no digestive
system; no working renal function (he doesn't pee nor
poop)... I could go on but I won't.
I'm all for creative license with regard to reinventing
elements and adding to them, but please, let's do keep
the basics intact - they make for a much better show
and adventure.
In other news, I'm beside myself with joy at knowing
that there will be a second series to this excellent
show - other than the mucking about with the mythos'
foundations, the writing has been spot on and kept
me entranced and hugely entertained and definitely wanting
more, with each episode.
Thanks and Cheers!

I care about these people, I have great fear of their enemies. The refreshingly human dialogue and simple direction brings this series to a level where the viewer can see that the dilemmas involved do not necessarily have to be that of a Vampire a werewolf or a ghost. We can find all of our own truths in their actions. Long may it last.
