I loved this episode, next series will be the best series of any program ever. Loved the acting.

Once again, don't really know what to say. Very emotional!

I think the worst (i.e. best) part was Nina; sensing almost immediately what had happened, but not having anyone confirm it to you for SO LONG. That's the worst (i.e. best) kind of teasing there is, and I think I hate (i.e. love) you all for it. I feel so incredibly bad for George right now, especially when I spent a good ten minutes yelling at him for being such a selfish plonker :(



I would like to say roll on series 2, but I'm sort of a bit scared of it, now.. Can we just leave them in their semi-happy bubble for a few months? Yes? Good.

oh my god what an episode i umed and ared for a whole 20 minutes but just couldnt wait any longer. and OH MY GOD!!!!! so good i was in tears almost all the way though. I dont wait to spoil it for those that havent watch yet but trust me it was worth the wait so many questions anwsered so many more raised and oh i cant say but poor poor wont say no maore on that point.



Bring on series 2 please not let it be to much of a wait but please dont change any thing.

Turely brillant every one has just done an amazeing jod truely i just love it.

Being Human is easily the best thing I've seen on TV this year, even though I haven't actually seen an episode on BBC Three since the pilot. God bless the iPlayer.

Yup i stood up and everything at that bit lol "go on george!!" and the nina thing :-( oh god we knew didnt we?? as soon as he got her we knew but couldnt be certain and just oh god thats it now thats him done for he wont be able to live with himself will he :-( i take it thats why he didnt attack her? he knew she was one of them? why did annie have to go why did she take mitchell and nina down there!? again we knew as soon as george said ket me go and tell him what he was gonna do but i knew something would get in the way nothing ever runs smooth does it lol anyone else a little sad that herricks gone though? he might have been a total b*stard and yeah i wanted him dead but hey he was a brilliant character!



oh and who was that fella at the end? im guessing hes the big baddie in series 2 but havent we seen him somewhere before? was he snuck in a previous episode???? maybe just me but his face rang a bell lol

My theory on the mitchell blood thing, is that like humans his body can produce blood but only after ingesting "live" blood, ie from an alive person, so replacing his blood in the hospital would possibly give him blood in his veins but would not make him better like it would a human.

I cant remember which programme or film I heard it in but it had vampires in it, "It's all about the blood, blood is life"

theres no way i can sleep 2night to much stuff to think about so many questions so much time before hey can be answered why!!!!

Herrick-fantastic, best part for me.

As am (ex) teen Anne Rice junkie I find myself slightly disappointed by the vamps lack lustre skill set but the show wouldn't work with such a complicated set up.

George- Amazing acting.

Beautiful scene with Mitch and....(name leaves me) on the hospital bed, beautiful.



The second half did what it was supposed to do and I'm grateful for that as it set it up for next season.



Epi 5 was the best. The whole series was perfectly paced I thought.



Shame about the jagged pixels with widescreen HD. Another reason to buy the DVD I guess.

just watched it twice.....OH MY GOD HOW FAB WAS THAT? I mean what else is there to do on a saturday night but sit sobbing along with a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. Cannot wait for the next series but in the meantime am thinking of renaming my dog George just so I can say to him every day "George, get............" (you all know the rest)

Ok, look people, I think some of you are under the false impression that you are more intelligent than the experienced TV crews who make this show. Continuity error? Really? You think?



No. Frankly. Just no.



It will have been a conscious decision and, as someone said, there is a degree of poetic license. These people know what they are doing.



For heaven's sake.



Anyway, as a pointless aside (sorry)- BH team you are, however, guilty of making me do the unthinkable and use 'text speak' (or should I say txt spk). I now find myself using such abbreviations as OMG instead of oh my God and coz instead of because. This is because my brain is so full of thoughts about the show, that I have to let it all out as quickly as possible and cut corners with my typing in order to do so. My mother would kill me.

Oh, also, I have to disagree with people who think that it would be a terribe ending if there weren't a season 2; personally I think it would be a rather interesting end and I quite like it when things aren't all 'wrapped up neatly'. Having said that, I'm bloody glad there's a season 2.

the heart and blood thing again - he has no heartbeat obviously hes dead so i guess he couldnt have blood could he? well i guess he could itd just be...still no oxygen in it god thinking back to biology here lol which i guess would explain why it would be differnet to human blood for lauren etc but if all of a sudden he has proper oxygenated blood in his body wouldnt this mean technically hed be alive? obviously not hes a vampire we saw it in his eyes but oh god i cant get my head around this!!! mitchell also says that it isnt helping - the new blood etc so... rargh i cant do this its driving me mad lol

i no poor george i really will tare him up i think hes got some more issues now but he was glad that she *nina* didnt just run away screaming like julia (all most)

I couldn't have hoped for a better closing episode. The strigoi followers will have to look elsewhere to relieve their stoker/rice branded porphyria/sexual repression..



In literature and folklore pit a parasite against our guardians of Gaia and there's only going to be one outcome. So grateful the writers bothered to read up and gave our dog his day.



Also heartened to see George get a real partner. Can't wait for the next series. Really,thanks so much for this.

If the writers are reading this (please forgive me for saying this if you find it completely offensive but I just can't help myself,) please don't go all Buffy or late X-files on our ass on season 2, please *flutters eyelashes*. I found myself falling into that train of thought during the latter part of this epi.

But it shows great skill to fit so much humour, warmth, darkness, depth and shallowness into such a teeny space.



Favourite parts of the series for me:



I can totally relate to a house share with cups everywhere (why??!), mess, fun, eclectic people, addicts and run ins with the neighbours.



The little references I recognise to TV, film, music etc.



The pure talent on the show.

When I first saw the scratches on her arm I thought she was a "cutter"--which would have been quite sad--and I was nervous she was going to do something to herself. But it was really that the reality of the situation was setting in after George had given her some answers.

Lol yeah we're going to have to trust them :-) i was getting a bit worried with the canteen girls speech but then good old annie brought it straight back to the real world for us lol think that was one of my favourite lines that and herricks in the hospital about mitchell "were not here to hurt mitchell..i mean yeah well get him but theres time" not really a funny line but the way he said it cracked me up!



This really was a brilliant episode however i think my favourite of the series has to be episode 5? but 3 was the funniest... Oh i cant decide :-D

I guess he recruited her because hes now lost mitchell so needs someone unassuming inside the hospital? that was my thinking anyway

On the nit picking about continuity, dunno if its been mentioned but there was one in ep5 if my maths serves me well. Annie said Mitchell was killing 80 years before Owen was born. Owen is mid-twenties or 22 at the youngest. So that would mean Mitchell had been killing 102 years therefore since 1906/7. He was recruited in the first world war which didn't start to 1914.

Am I the only one that liked the cafeteria girl? Seriously, nobody thought it was completely hilarious that twisted, psychotic, cold and shark-like Herrick decided to recruit himself a bit of Something For The Weekend?



I can't see her leading the vamps. There's a spot for a wheedling Seth-type sidekick, but (as some of you have demonstrated) most people don't have enough tolerance for the Brizzle accent to stand her in a main part.

Continuity? I'm not too bothered about most parts of that because I'll put it down to poetic license or that I'm really quite sad if I notice it but every time there's a smoking scene and the cig jumps from full to nearly finished within 2 seconds, it bothers me. But that's because I'm a smoker. See Gilbert scenes to see my irritation and countless films I can mention... and btw Gavin and Stacey are the worst for that.

Good of Herrick to clear up the question on why mitchell isn't affected by the star of david .. almost as if he has been reading the forum posts :-)

I will be devastated if this doesn't win any awards, this series has had me screaming at the telly, crying, laughing everything. I'm so glad to know there'll be another series. Just when you thin everything will work out and you've found out all you need to know about the characters the writers hit you with another bomshell.

And I'm sure series 2 won't dissapoint ;)

Yeah i did wonder about that he seemed to have a bit of a thing for her lol yeah there has been a bit of maths issues about mitchells age but i think we can put this down to annies maths than tobys hes supposed to be 118 but i doubt she was worried about exact dates she just wanted to scare him i think :-) mitchell also tells fleur he died a hundred years ago which would mean hed have been 18 which obviously he isnt but again i doubt he was worried about exact dates

Yeah he was supposed to be a young man when he died (16-19). He looks a year or two younger than me. I'd put him at 25-27.

I think canteen woman was annoying cos she sounds like vicky pollard cross handbook for goths, which is not a happy mix. And she drags her words aaargh - my flatmate did that and I wanted (metaphorically)to kill her. (I also had one who looks like owen...he was a bit psychotic too)

For brizzle_fin, maybe she said 80 years because that sounds a bit more impressive than well let's see he's 25 and he's been twenty five for gosh what year were you bitten in?He's been killing for 96/97/98/99/100 years, so quite a while. At least 80. (just my take on annie's though process there)

But yay a hook for series 2, thankgoodness it's been commissioned, else my brain would definietly dissolve and ferment trying to explain enigmatic psychiatrist. THis way it may only dissolve.

I dont think he was ever meant to be a teenager i know a lot of ww1 soldiers were but he said he went into the army when he left school so he was a "proper soldier" if you like not just a recruit if you do the maths this was filmed 2008 so for him to be 118 hed have been born 1890 so 1914 hed be 24 which is about right cos i think aidans 25 - i have no doubt in my mind that they worked it out properly didnt just pluck the numbers out the air lol

oh god of all the things to talk about all the things that happened in this episode and were worrying about george and nina's sex life lol oh well we need a bit of light heartedness just watche the josie scene again its so sad :-( i really liked her character and mitchell really cared about her he cared enuogh not to bite her first time round and he was so gentle and caring and lovely with her :-( but it worked well for the show so i suppose it had to be done
