Yay, here goes...

ok so genuinely this ep had me laughing and in tears and in complete shock, i don't even know where to start, im still in tears!



Loved George's opening monologue, really moved me and made me think. And could George get more adorkable in this ep? 'who wants some of my chair?'!! genius!!



Mitchell and lauren-yup theres tears no 1. brilliantly done, dont wanna say too much for those who havent seen it yet but amazing.



Owen-the guy who plays Owen deserves a medal for this ep, he played smarmy, disgusting and evil perfectly. the scene with annie and him on the stairs took my breath away.



and Annie-dear, sweet Annie. Lenora is incredible, every week she becomes my favourite thing for one reason or another and this week was no exception. Her portrayal of Annie had me in tears at the end, i was actually sobbing when she was talking to George and Mitchell, and as i said im still teary from it.



and the end- dear god the end. Honestly how can you leave us like this??? how????? its not fair!!!



an incredible episode folks, i honestly wnt know what to do with myself when this show finishes. Please please please let us know soon if there will be a series 2.

Too good for words really, and still reeling again, but spot on script, spot on balance between (just brilliant) humour and darkness, spot on acting, spot on everything. I even really really liked Lauren Typical!

OMG!!! What an ending. That episode had it ALL...laughs, sobs, pure evil and true hide behind hands moments.Screaming at the PC at the end thinking that there had to be more. But no error that was the end of ep 5! How can we ENDURE a week to fine out what happens? How do we cope when its all over? Please say series 2 is on the way.....??

oh, and I'm gonna have to watch it all again on iplayer tomorrow to see the preview for next week!!!

Can anyone refer me to a good Being Human forum because i really need to talk about this last episode but I don't want to spoil if for people by posting here.



I will say though that this episode was excellent!! Had me laughing out loud several times and yet in the last scene i was close to tears. Never before has a show made me go through such a range of emotions in a single episode. Never before have i come so close to tears because of a t.v show and it's rare that i even laugh out at a show. Seriously this program is amazing, it has got to be the best program on telly. But how can you leave us on a cliffhanger like that?!?! Now part of me really can't wait for next week but the other part of me wants to wait because along with next week bringing the next episode it also brings the end of the series. There has got to be a series two!!! I will stand outside the BBC in protest if there isn't. But please can we have all the same cast for next series as well. I've really grown to love them all.

Anyway I think that's all, sorry for the long post.

Great episode! Annie whispering at the end had me racking my brain trying to remember that quote about death from the pilot show..



Really been enjoying the series thus far, but really, budget permitting can we let George's alter ego off the leash? ( No pun intended!) Perhaps i've just seen one two many Underworld movies to just accept him as the comedy side kick. He's a werewolf! One of him could easily KO a few podgy faced northern undead.



They allow Mitchell to wander about in the daytime but stick to the lore about lunar cycles for Lycanthropes?

Still one episode to go and hopefully a 2nd series, here's to hoping one dog finally gets his day!

Oh my! Wow, that was so amazing. I'm still in shock, I could normally guess the things that happen next in other shows but this has totally taken me by surprise. I love this show, can't wait for next week's but hate that it's the last one.

Lauren has totally redeemed her self for any needy pathetic manipulativeness. I might actually miss her. Please god don't let them write out any of the main characters and that includes Nina and Herrick.



I love that Annie knows the secret that drove Owen mad.



I want to know more than just sticks and rope, but terrified that if they explain it fully we can only be dissappointed and if they don't explain it, we will be eternally frustrated.



You've raised the bar and had better come through for us with the last episode. Oh and Mitchell had blimmen well better make it through to the end with out one overgelled hair on his pretty little head harmed.

"No no no" That's wat i was sceaming at my laptop omg that was the most amazing one and its actually the first telvision program ive cryed and cheered and booed all the way threw i couldnt believe it, everything just happened so fast towards the end and i was shocked and in flood's of tears when he came with the dagger OMG ad the door omg omg omg omg omg omg omg i sceamed when it didnt finished.

Im still in state of shock i cant believe i was lauging then i suddenly bursted into tears and when owen was walking down the road just BRAVO amazing performce.

eagles_eyes, I was thinking the same thing about Gilbert being happy and going into a warm glow; Lauren seemed pleased to meet her death, too. Maybe there's something in it about having to have fulfilled some kind of mission or journey or something? The deaths between human life and supernatural life (human to vamp, human to ghost) seem to be filled with horrible things, but so far the ultimate deaths (vamp to death, ghost to death) appear to be a much nicer experience.



Hmmmmm.

...actually that would mean that Seth went to a better place. Okay, I'm officially sticking to my theory, now.

OR, maybe it's something to do with the manner of death? The bad deaths were all times were life was snatched away from the character, but the good deaths were pretty much chosen, and the character was ready for them.

I am genuinely stunned. This episode was an emotional roller coaster. How am I supposed to wait a week until the (GASP!) final episode? How am I even supposed to go to bed now?? I am too wired to sleep. . .

I for one am glad there's no straight answer about whether there's a series two, since that would sort of spoil series one. I wasn't even sure at times tonight there was really an episode six, which was the joy of watching this new with everyone else. If you watch after the fact or out of order, you know what not to worry about, and that's no fun.



Anyone else read the sign over the door and wonder?

Fantastic episode! A rollercoaster ride of thrills,spills and wet your pants hilarity. The scene where George and Annie go to Mitchells rescue in the funeral home had me in stitches - some really nice one liners. Lauren's desperation, Mitchell's angst, loved up George, and poor Annie up against the evil Owen...this episode had it all - not to mention a kick ass storyline and a nail biting cliff hanger...who's that door really for? None of our paranormal heros I hope! Bring on the next episode.

I had pretty much given up hope on British tv with the usual Saturday night over-hyped, terribly written dramas... until this show aired.

The writing is spot on, the acting is first class, the music, the lovable characters... I could go on. It has the perfect mix of depth and humour.

I would be very surprised if there wasn't a season 2. My only concern is that the actors will move on to something else because I think they are perfectly placed in those roles.

Amazing! Please give us more.

OMGGGG!!!! I am in complete shock!!! I can't wait until next week's episode even though it's gonna be the last one :( But this ep has to be the best one yet, loved the bit when Annie and George went to 'save' Mitchell, had me rolling off my seat in fits =]

Three things I noticed:



1) I can now watch this video in the USA. Best surprise ever! Whoo hoo BBC.



2)There was massive character evolution. Normally, I see character evolution like what happened in this one episode only in season or series finales. At first I might think "Whoah... too fast!" But the pacing is absolutely perfect in regards. Bravo!



3)"We're like the two gayest ninjas ever." The episode was pure 100% awesome.

Mitch has been spiked in the upper right of his chest, a mere flesh wound to a vampire. I should know, being half and half...anyyyyyway....

I like this - release it first on I Player - it's like we have our own special screening...just for us!

Annie is not going through that door...not just yet! George can't do it on his own...he needs somebody to justify the violence to first. ;)

The whole series has been great but this episode just blew the rest out of the park, and that is going some.

Toby mentioned that he had written a hook in, that can lead on to the next series - so either there has to be a second series or we'll be left with a load of unanswered questions...NOOOO.



Also I loved Herricks little speech in the lift about being chosen, spoken like a true delusion dictator - nice touch.

Oh_Suzi, I agree Herrick's lift speech was a good touch. This programme is full of subtle but very accurate observations about cultures and behaviours, it's very good.



I also thought it was an interesting touch to bring in an old girlfriend o Mitchell's...bit more insight into Mitchell's past, highlighting how Mitchell is frozen in time etc.



Just waaay too much to comment on on this one.

OK this is way off track - Shellmoby you asked about the argument re Annie and Owen, from Ep 3.



Here's my theory.



Annie finds strange pants and confronts Owen.

Owen thinks crap! they are Janey's. I'll do the usual crap manipulatiive boy trick, I'll accuse her before she accuses me, divert attention and make her feel guilty.

Massive argument ensues and another opportuity for Owen to be abusive he gets carried away. Annie ends up dead. Thong somehow is covered in blood, he thinks crap they might trace it back to Janeys then me, he panicks and flushes them down the loo.



My flimsey circumstancial evidence:



1.We hear Owen say, 'Did you wear these for him Annie did you make him cum, you are nothing but a cheap whore.' waving thong in her face.



2.We now know for a fact Owen and Janey were having an affair whilst Annie was alive.



3.In Ep 5 Whilst waiting for Janey to come home home Annie is fiddling with the washing - namely a very familiar white thong.



Tada!

I am a little confused re the whole death secret thing. Why did Gilbert greet his death with a wry smile if something not pleasant on the other side awaited? Why also did Lauren seem almost elated at the moment of passing if the terrible fate annie has hinted at awaited. Thing is Annie and Mitchell are the only ones who hint at knowing about what awaits, but in actual fact they only know what awaits in the first stage post death .. Annie has avoided going through the door and Mitchell was revived in the undead vampire state. So they really don't know what happens beyond the initial transition from life.

You're right sperki theres too much to talk about on this one! it really is brilliantly done.



something thats not been raised yet i dont think - waht did everyone think of Michells costume in this one he suddenly becomes a lot more of a stereotypial vampre as far as looks goes - hes always worn black but always with a bit of colour like that bright yellow t shirt or the funky jackets and as soon as he goes back to them he seems to have dropped all that sticking to black shirts etc and quite skinny black jeans - think he looks a lot more "vampire-ish" than human. May just be me though lol maybe im reading too much into it as usual and his yellow t shirt/funky jackets were in the wash :-)

Again the humour mixed with the angst so I was in midst of a smile then 'hit' with a shock. The woman M knew from the '60's (I didn't catch her name) very wise, I wonder how many people know about vamps and could be what our three need for backup.

H coming to the house has me puzzled why vamps haven't before, did H order them not to? I only just remembered in time he can't enter unless one of them invites him in which they won't. L is gone? :-( But she just showed humanity! I actually liked S for being the weasel that he is, who else can irritate like that? I want to put "Jacob's Creeky" on a t-shirt if there are any cons for BH show.

Great detail from the writer, we've all been puzzling over G's amulet now this ep it has purpose 8-)

The gnome wallpaper is starting to grow on me, is that a sign I'm way too fanatic about the show ;-)

But ep 6 *can't* be the end of BH! The characters mean a lot to us and we're so drawn into the circumstances.



Off the top of my head the best moments of this ep for me were the "chair", "whisk and phone charger" the best weapons for heroes :-)



O is so bad Vamps don't recruit him because he might just rival H for meglomaniac "try to take over the world" levels!



I'm going to watch again now so I can follow what was going on in this ep

i think the vampire side is based on the anne rice version. so they say we have been around for thousands of years and the death and re-vampire life is similar, and so is the day light thing (but only with very old vampires).

i would be surprised if they didn't also pick up on the rice story that the oldest vampire makes the strongest, new recruits.

but maybe that's me... i was a 14 year old anne rice junkie.

Just realised that, on top of Mitchell saying to Herrick about the things he'd seen in between and Mitchell and Annie always being anxious not to let Goerge know what happens when you die, the chap that's recruited in this episode says 'Men...there were men' when he woke up. I am extremely unnerved by this whole men with sticks and ropes lark. Still..intriguing

I wonder how the vampires can survive in top positions without moving on. People will spot the fact that they have not aged. One would assume that you can't get to Herrick's police position by just walking in off the street but would have to be established and have climbed the ladder. Also Mitchell seems to have ben around in one place(Bristol - yay!) for a long time, surprised more people from the past would not have spotted the fact he hasn't aged apart from the ex girlfriend this week.

Also, I liked the original music in this one

And the guy who plays Owen was ace

Just remembered something else i wanted to ask andforgot in all the exciement lol it really is so fast this episode!



Any ideas what Herrick was taking just before the "who wants some of my chair!" scene? well vampires cant get ill so itcouldnt have been medication and i cant somehow imagine herick being on drugs - blood is the drug isnt it. so any ideas?

But blood comes out f Mitchells mouth that didnt happen to Lauren which leads me to believe that he might be injured not dying and as someone pointed out the stake is throgh the top right of his chest not in the centre like laurens. Im not sure about Seth - we didt see him die i have 2 theories - either 1. this is to make Laurens death more dramatic as we don know whats coming or 2. hes nt actually dead - he is credited to episde 6 so im not sure about him...hmm so many questions!!

Also what the hell was Mitchell thinkng he was about to go out before the door came?! Hes a vampire surely he knows that Herrick and the others cant get in while hes at home why would he leave? what was so important? where do we think he was going? dont suppose he wanted to die wanted them to get him thinking the others would be safer or?

Ok i stand corrected they anaged to give a preview! but oh my god now i want episode 6 even more!! we see george tranform again so why will that be important? just a bit of filler for the preview or can george be let loose on the vampires in wolf mode?! could he kill them? hmm not sure if that has ever been raised can werewolves kill vampires? could certainly be an intresting concept...

Utter genius! The way you guys keep pulling it off. Each episode offers a mix of emotions and twists and turns that are mindblowing. But hey, don't just take my word for it, the amount of positive comments posted here should be an indication of what BH is doing to viewers the world over. I second each and everyone who has been pleading for a second series.

This may seem stupid, but somewhere i read Toby Whithouse saying that in episode 6 there is a dramatic twist to take it into series 2 and i was wondering whether maybe the twist is all the characters die. If series 2 was set in the next life or they are all somehow stuck in between the two and it's about them trying to get back. So maybe Annie does go through the door and Mitchell does die and George saying "it's time" is him deciding to commit suicide. It's just a theory and i don't really believe it myself because i don't see how they could have a whole series set in the afterlife but i just thought i would throw it out there.

btw so annoyed with the preview for next episode. Was really hoping we would get some hint as to the fate of Annie and Mitchell. I guess i should have known better, that would have been too much of a give away.

I...am speechless. This has actually made my year, this series. And I love some of the epic lines being delivered. Especially when Owen goes to confess and tells the police officer what is going on and all he says is he needs a different form!! I can't wait for episode 6, and I hope there is a second series!!! I love it, especially Mitchell and George!!!
