It’s exciting that someone somewhere has enough money to fund a private mission to Mars.
It’s no good waiting for governments to ever cough up enough again. So thank goodness for American billionaire Dennis Tito who reckons his Mars launch could happen within the next five years. He says it might be a great idea to put up a married couple into space as astronauts because they’re going to have to share that tiny, confined space, for up to 17 months - using the same (recycled) water, wearing the same clothes, eating minimal food etc.
Sounds like marital hell.
But what a journey!
