A Northern Light - Paranoia
Monday 22nd February 2016
They Say: “'Paranoia' started as a typical acoustic pop punk song but we felt it could be used in the same setting as some drum 'n bass songs like Pendulum or London Elektricity, songs that aren't out of place in a nightclub. Lyrically the song is about 'the fear' after a particularly heavy night out; fear of people, fear of everything. Ultimately though we conquer this by returning to the music, community and sense of belonging in the beat, and I suppose begin the cycle all over again.”
We say: “Good to have these guys back as they’ve always been at the adventurous end of the scene, each track bursting with ideas. Paranoia hammers that point home, with futuristic production, a borderline drum n bass rhythm and plenty of synths. Yet at the heart, as always, is rock n’ roll.”
A Northern Light ‘Paranoia’ is out now.
