Salad Boyz – T-4-2

Tuesday 23rd February 2016

They Say: "We've been playing T-4-2 since our very first gig last May. It quickly became a favourite amongst our fans so it's great to finally get it out there. Recorded in our own “Salad Studio”, we like to try and replicate our live sound, recording the whole band together and keeping things fairly raw.

Probably our slowest song, it's a bit of a self-deprecating take on loneliness, anxiety and other fun things like that, all set to nice happy music. Songs are a great outlet for those poopy emotions and it's a pretty amazing feeling to experience others relating to your words and enjoying the music!"

We say:  “The 90s revival continues across Northern Irish music, as Salad Boyz channel the spirit of the likes of Pixies, Weezer and Pavement. It’s not hard to put your finger on why Salad Boyz stand out; the little bit of quirkiness in the lyrics, that Z in their name, the fact that they present themselves as a collective not liable to take themselves too seriously… and of course a great song.”

T-4-2 is available to stream now and the band play Gifted in the Empire, Belfast alongside Heroes Before the Fall, Nasa Assassin and The Shout, on March 10th 2016
