Rory Nellis - Crossed Out

Wednesday 19th April, 2017

They say: “I wrote Crossed Out last year in the run up to the Brexit referendum so it’s a little bit about that, or at least it was inspired by that, and the language used around that time.

I recorded it with Phil d’Alton at Hill House Studio in the Craigantlet hills. We did a two day session with the core band of the album; Phil on piano, Herb Magee on bass, Peter J. McCauley on drums and myself. We rehearsed and tracked five or six songs in a couple of days. They’re all great musicians who are fantastic to work with.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.”

We say: “Scientific tests have certified that Rory Nellis has the largest heart in the local music scene.

Here's another instance of his generosity of spirit. A piano-led meditation on stubborn problems, reboots and the challenge of making a truly fresh start.”

'Crossed Out' is the latest single from Rory Nellis, set to appear on forthcoming album 'There Are Enough Songs In The World', and it's available to buy now.
