Effortless Grace

With the gentle hum of the weekend winding up outside, I take a moment to thumb through social feeds in an attempt to try lose myself in amongst other people’s plans, only to stop scrolling upon KP’s announcement of a new single.

KP is an ATL regular, an enthralling live offering with their music always leaving us guessing, debating, discussing, and ultimately wanting more, so it’s with genuine excitement I shut out the wind-down of the working week, and listen to ‘Grace’.

‘Grace’ is bare from the offset, singing of floating thoughts, streams, and drifting through shadows. What grabs me immediately is how present KP is throughout, creating a mood and atmosphere that holds the listener completely and utterly. Lyrics whisper “Let me go, but never leave my side” and with that, I feel as though I couldn’t, even if I wanted to.

‘Grace’ is as big as it is vulnerable, as encaptivating as it is it catchy.
