Cormac Neeson’s new track ‘Don’t Wait Up’ is a more personal and raw endeavour than we're used to from 'The Answer' frontman, and with it, Neeson really comes into his own.
We've lost the aggression and bravado that sees The Answer sharing stages with rock giants. Instead, a gospel choir serenades Cormac as he finds himself "enjoying the peace and quiet" with a more bluesy, Americana feel, while seemingly enjoying a new journey away from the road exploring an honest and heartfelt perspective of the challenges he’s faced over the past few years.
'Don’t Wait Up’ is the kind of song that makes you feel that everything is going to be ok, even though life gets in the way sometimes.
It’s beautiful, uplifting and worth taking time out to listen.
