Independent music charity Help Musicians UK has announced that it is set to launch a Northern Ireland branch of the charity, and the organisation’s Director of External Affairs, Christine Brown, has been revealed as NI Director and will lead the new HMNI brand.

The charity supports musicians at every stage of their careers, and will have an official launch gig at the Oh Yeah Centre at the start of Sound of Belfast on Thursday, 3rd November. This will include live performances from Ryan Vail and Pat Dam Smyth.

Regarding HMNI, Christine Brown says, “This is a specific Northern Irish brand for Help Musicians and I have long been an advocate for the amazing ambition, energy and vision of the NI music community. I am extremely proud to be leading this new venture and look forward to sharing more at the launch in November.”

Christine will be joined by a dedicated team including Blast 106 producer and presenter Nikki MacRae as NI Development Officer, and Declan Legge, who is a music producer and manages acts such as Jealous of the Birds and Silences. He will advise as a music industry liaison specialist.
