Dirty Words ‘Wake Up’
They say - “Wake Up’ is a thought provoking track, which seeks to comment on news media reporting, spin doctoring and the grand idea of where we are going as a society. We took musical influences from groove-based rock bands like Muse, Kasabian and Queens of the Stone Age, as well as amazing spoken-word performers like Scroobius Pip and Kate Tempest, to create a sound like an earthquake hitting a disco in outer-space.”

We Say – “The marriage of poetry and rock isn't always a happy one, but Dirty Words have been ballsy enough to make it work. Hyped by some deliberately nasty guitars, local scribe Colin Hassard becomes a manic street preacher, his story cutting through with impressive impact.”
