SOAK – B a noBody
They Say : "B a noBody", is a song I wrote after my brother left university and friends finished their exams. The song follows my idea of "if everyone is someone then no one is everyone" and it's a kick to remind us that we are equal and have purpose. Specifically around the end of teenage years, when s*** gets real."
We Say : Because 'Sea Creatures' was so great, when we first heard it there was mild concern it might be a one off. What joy then, that everything SOAK has released since has been somehow even sweeter, even dreamier, even better. 'B a noBody' is a track good enough to mark a debut on Rough Trade - and then some. The album could be very, very special indeed.
SOAK plays Christ Church, Derry on Friday 7th of November as part of a 4 date tour.
