Wake America - Silly Boy

Monday 19th October 2015

They Say: "‘Silly Boy’ is a track about regret. The production started the day I got my hands on a 1982 Polysix analog synth. The power of analog is intense and when coupled with a simple reverb a huge sound can be created. Everyday since has been spent on Wake America material and I feel like I’ve really got a ‘sound’ now. I'm 4 tracks in and currently deciphering a way to recreate it all LIVE. I’m definitely taking this on the road".

We Say: 'It’s mildly annoying that Eoin O’Callaghan can just randomly invent a side project whilst in the middle of launching his superb debut album as Bad Boy Grip, in order to indulge this - his more trippy and wonky approach to songwriting. ‘Do give up the dayjob’ would be a nice sign off here, if Best Boy Grip wasn’t so ruddy great'.
