Swords – All These Hours
Thursday 23rd March, 2017
They say: “I had been unwell, and I was spending a lot of time on my own trying to write lyrics. It was tough going at times.
The song is about the idea of continuity in a person's life. Despite everything you try to stand as tall as you can, and live your life with all this vitality. You write music, write lyrics, write music, no matter what else is happening.
Sometimes it's a curse and sometimes it's a blessing, but it's always there. I think I was trying to make sense of that for myself.”
We say: “With its delicate electronic intro and beautiful, simple glockenspiel, ‘All These Hours’ does nothing but inspire us here at team ATL.
The initial sparse nature of the song captures the feelings of singer Diane so well and as it eventually builds into a grand explosion of soaring vocals, we come out the other end feeling re-energized and ready to face a new day.”
‘All These Hours’ is taken from Swords album ‘Tidal Waves’ which is out now.
