Rodney Owl – Nothing In The Way
Friday 24th March, 2017
They say: “Well the story of the song is quite simple. It's about opening your eyes to what's going on around you and seeing the potential and limitations.
It's about not being afraid of failing to grasp that potential or afraid to disengage from situations that don't work for you, because life's too short.
It's a song about a total stranger who became a friend and helped to clarify these things for me.
We say: “Elegant folksy guitar picking, a sweet wisp of a melody and quiet vocals - it's a distant relative to acoustic legend Nick Drake and 'Cello Song'. Extra points for the loud interlude.”
‘Nothing In The Way’ is taken from Rodney Owl’s album ‘Woe’ which was recorded at Night Owl Studios.
