The American singer-songwriter Rodriguez has confirmed he'll play at the Empire Music Hall, Belfast on Wednesday the 28th of November.

Rodriguez released albums in the early 1970s which had little success in the states, but he became huge in South Africa with his debut release called 'Cold Fact'. Later he became reclusive, with rumours of his death being circulated.

In 2012, a documentary called 'Searching for Sugar Man', followed the journey of two South African fans trying to find Roqriguez. which brought his music back into focus. 

David Holmes featured the track 'Sugarman' on a mix album called, 'Come Get It, I Got It' back in 2002. Holmes will be a special guest on the night.
