The Belfast Music Week will return from the 4th to the 11th of November. Organised by Belfast City Council and co-ordinated by the Oh Yeah music centre, the week is set to bring music tourism to Belfast as well as support for local talent.
There will be a series of announcements for events over the next few weeks in additional to those released today.
Some of the events confirmed today include:
Urban Affinity Community Festival to help young people learn more about DJ-ing, rapping and recording.
‘Band Jam’ talent search.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Benjy B will host dance music project aimed at encouraging the recycling of electrical goods and the ‘entrance fee’ will be any handheld electrical item
GiftedLive will stream a special gig live from The Empire Music Hall featuring local and international talent. Acts to be confirmed.
A night with Punk legend Terri Hooley
Blues night aimed at seniors
keynote speeches by industry leaders
lunchtime playbacks of classic albums by NI artists
