Wonder Villains - Ferrari

The ever fabulous Wonder Villains are back with their new single 'Ferrari'. Now that all the members of the band have finished school, the pop troupe will no doubt take 2012 by the horns. Expect more releases on No Dancing records and to hear them just about every where you go!

The Jepettos - Goldrush

Less than a year old, the Jepettos have already got Duke Special as guest pianist on this track! Ruth & Mike Aiken will release their debut EP 'Start a New EP' on the 6th of January and you can preview it on thejepettos.bandcamp.com.



Owl Parliament - About You

Furlo's very own Paul McCartney leaves the four strings of the bass behind to develop his own fully fledged side project under the name of Owl Parliament. Ruairi Connolly's debut EP called 'Rip Through Her Sky' is available for free on his soundcloud and bandcamp now!



Before Machines - Stalagmites

Before Machines have burned about in the background for too long and with the expected release of their album in 2012, we're hoping it takes the band to the audience they deserve. Creating songs that develop and twist, we cant wait to hear a full album of this bands alternatively catchy hooks.

Dying Breed - Khalleesi

This Derry 4 piece only starting writing their own tracks in the summer, but already they've released a three track EP called 'Don't Follow The Rabbit' which caught the attention of our in house investigator Phily Taggart. Check out their genre meshing tracks on dyingbreedni.bandcamp.com.



By Any Means - By Any Means

For all you metal marauders out their you gotta some get By Any Means into your life. They are a five piece metal/hardcore band form Belfast. They released their EP 'Built to Respect' last year and this year they plan to pretty much stay on the road, with tour dates in Ireland, the UK and Europe! We hear whispers of a mini album on the way too!



Mister Underground - Medicine

As previously featured on ATL’s Product of Northern Ireland, Mister Underground (aka Christopher Preston) has been making music from a young age. In 2012 he is getting round to releasing his debut album 'Trainwreck'. The dark electro pop act will also release a video for ‘Medicine’ this month.



The Couth - Cycles

This noteably young four piece from Lisburn make jangly indie pop. New to Across The Line, we're expecting to hear plenty more in 2012.



Parachutes Over Paris - Let It All Out

Six piece electronic tinged indie rocker's Parachutes Over Paris hail from Belfast, with ex-Varioni's lead singer Steven Smith once more taking a lead role. With a new EP on the way in the next few months, their big poppy hooks may well make people stop and take notice!



Best Boy Grip - Monster And Me

One of team ATL's favourite finds of last year, Best Boy Grip has made a name for himself in just a couple of months. Arriving with intriguing quirky piano pop songs akin to Rufus Wainwright and Ben Folds.



Electric Mocassins - Take Me Away

Crossgar three piece Electric Moscassins have described themselves as "the genre where it sounds like Liam Neeson chasing a load of hens around inside a barrel". We'll let you decipher that, but you're bound to hear more of these across Radio Ulster with Gerry Anderson a fan.



Peter McVeigh - We Are The City

Peter McVeigh isn't new to the ATL playlist, but tonight we got to play a taster of the first single from his up coming EP which won't be out until the middle of the year. Now with a three piece band behind him, we're expecting plenty of gigs over the next year. 



Shadow Valley - Beautiful Thing

A new project from the always prolific Geoff Topley (previously Foam Boy, Cruz, Roque Junior, Team horse) is reminisint of Burial, Magnetic Fields, early Spiritualized and generally trippy goodness. You can listen to the album now on shadowvalley.bandcamp.com.



Decomposing in Paris - High and Dry

This Belfast based trip-hop influenced troupe came to our attention during the summer, but this year they are set to release their debut EP with an accompanying music video. Fans of Bjork, Portishead and Bat for Lashes should check out decomposinginparis.com.



runaway GO - Alligator

They barely need an introduction at this stage, having been stalwarts of the Northern Irish scene for a good few years now. They've existed under a number of guises but when they changed their name to runawayGO last year, something seemed to change. Stunning singles, intense performances, a growing confidence and good honest hard work has pushed the bands profile over the last few months.



Deadman's Ghost - All This Fleeting Magic

Jason Mills (aka Deadman's Ghost) has been making music for a long time along side the loose collectiveof creative musicians including Kab Driver, Defcon, T-Polar, Barry's Electric Workshop and the general Acroplane crew. The Broken Zoetrope album will be released on the Mexican label Umor Rex sometime next year (TBC), and it features all of the above artists! We're collectively excited!



Axis Of - Stan Winston's Rough Sea's

Again, hardly a band that needs introduced to an ATL audience, but we're so excited about Axis Of's debut album that we HAD to mention them. Ash The Cat - Lifehammer

ENERGY! Ash The Cat (aka Portstewart's Kit Grier) was featured on That New Band Smell a few months back, but he's currently working on a new EP to be released in this year. Something to try to keep up with to loose that little holiday weight! You'll fail…



The Red Velvetines - Bang Bang

The Ballymoney four piece have only recorded one track in a studio, but it's pretty damn promising! The Red Velvetines list a range of local influences including The Answer, LaFaro and Swanee River. What's not to like?!



Katharine Philippa - Whiter Than I

Anybody who hasn't heard Katharine's debut EP from late last year simply are missing something in their life - whether they know it or not! She seemingly appeared from nowhere with a stunning EP and a voice to match. It's only the beginning!



David C. Clements - Not Sleeping

Formerly called Captain Cameron until a few days ago, David C. Clements has cropped up on so many bills over the last year, you surely have seen him live even if you don't know it. A fantastic song writer, he's solo project still has hints of his former band SixStarHotel but with a grounded folk element. He released a two track EP for free on his bandcamp on New Years Day. Bravo Columbo - Lock

Scott Walker is back! The 21 yeard old Scott Walker from Stroke City that is (aka Bravo Columbo). Featured on our Product of Northern Ireland back in November, his sparse electronic blues grabbed our attention immediatley. Intermission - Shot

Two thirds of former nearly men Kharma 45 get together with new bass player Grahame Bradley to make a gloriously raw rock ‘n’ roll band. Intermission have taken the North Coast by storm and are mounting an attack on the rest of the world on 2012.



Sirkus Sirkus - Ripier

Not content in making gloriously pumping dance music with one of NI’s most popular exports, The Japanese Popstars, Decky Headrock (nee McClaughlin) has a solo project on the go as well. Sirkus Sirkus have plans for original tracks, remixes and collaborations throughout 2012.



Gama Bomb - Last Ninja's Night 

Gama Bomb are without doubt the highest tempo band on our list. It’s break neck speed, blink and you’ll miss it cartoon cartoon, thrash punk from Newry. 2011 saw the guys get their passports stamped on the mission of ROCK in Brazil, Mexico and throughout the UK. Keep any eye out for a new album in 2012.



Silhouette - Can't Keep Up

2012 is the year we reckon Silhouette emerges from the shadows. She is currently sitting on a plethora of tracks for all of us to fall in love with, one of which ‘Can’t Keep Up’ will be featured as the soundtrack to the advert for NI Tourist board. It gets a general release to us, her baying public, in February.



Chase Atlantis - You Can't Catalyze

Call it pop punk, call it emo, call it whatever you like as I all I’m calling it is ‘a banging tune’. Chase Atlantis have been paying attention to their peers, taking influence from the likes of Jody Has a Hitlist, General Fiasco and Furlo. Check their bandcamp out for more tracks from their debut EP The Catalyst.



Stillpoint - White Bullets

One of our favourite discoveries of 2011 has to be Belfast Rock three piece Stillpoint. 2012 is going to be a big year, their big red van is packed and they are getting ready to set sail on an epic Uk and Irish tour over the next few months. For thou about to rock (and tour) we salute you.



Ciaran Lavery - I Lost

Lurgan legends Captain Kennedy’s lead singer goes solo with a spindle full of stripped back acoustic melancholy. His EP ‘You Will Be a Stranger’ is available now from his bandcamp.



Go Wolf - Last The Night

They've only been going a matter of months, but hard work pays off! Go Wolf are the newest band on our list but they've already got 3 free tracks to download. Check them out at Aunt Annie's, Belfast on the 17th of January supporting Deerstalker.



Whanau - The Beginning

Lisburn 6 piece paint our playlist with folky pop nuances. Whanau are a six piece from Lisburn, they are a band ridiculously new to us here at Across The Line. Hopefully 2012 will a flourishing relationship with Whanau and Across The Line.



Members of Lifestyle - Sex Cloud

Members of Lifestyle are an exciting collaboration between Mark Bell and Connor Tracey, two stalwarts of the disco and house scenes in Northern Ireland.
