After a few weeks inter-railing around Europe the ‘New Band Smell’ prances back to the familiar and safe dwelling of the Across The Line blog. In our time away the BBC Introducing Uploader has been flooded with quality new tuneage. Here are three of the best picks from the Summer harvest.

Parachutes Over Paris - Bats

Meat and potatoes guitar indie thats catchier than a cold on a Winter bus trip.

Tennis Shoes – Model Love

Engaging funky electro from an act so new they barely have had the time to concoct an identifiable smell - check out their bandcamp.

Third Man Theme - Mary Miller as a Witch

Third Man Theme are Brian, Matthew and Claire, the male contingent blow in’s from Scotland and the female a native of our fair isle. They produce angular, edgy post punk that is as compelling as it is mildly disconcerting. The three piece have been in existence for little more than a year and already have managed to amass a deluge of the hipper music fans in Belfast. Their EP ‘Tears on Tate’ is now available from the Third Man Theme bandcamp.
