GOTW - Rock The Lough Belfast

Post categories:

ATL|12:20 UK time, Tuesday, 26 July 2011

An indoor festival vibe for this weeks GOTW, with the bizarrely titled 'Rock the Lough' at The Empire Music Hall, Belfast, this Sunday. Now we're sure there's a very understandable reason as to why it's called what it is, and indeed what lough (metaphorical or otherwise) is being 'rocked', but in order to keep our sanity, lets just worry about the music.

Which is a bit of a treat, frankly, with an ATL playlist of sorts coming to life - Kobi, A Northern Light, Like Statues and Havana House Party are among the bands playing, with Colly Strings headlining. Now we saw Colly Strings open the second stage at Glasgowbury on Saturday and can absolutely guarantee they're a band who've hit real form.

Andrew from Colly Strings explains why things are so good:

'We've been working hard to tighten up our songs and freshen up our set, so you can expect a couple of never before heard tunes and perhaps a new looking Colly Strings. And we're having such a quality summer, Glasgowbury was amazing, we've got the empire (never played before), Sunflower Fest, and the Kowalski single launch to come.. apart from all the sunburn goin' on we couldn't be happier!!'

But here….go see for yourselves!
