Glasgowbury 2011 - Rams' Pocket Radio

Main stage, 8.30pm

Describe in a tweet: Next year's headliners?

What happened: Tipped for greatness by anyone with ears, Rams have been granted a prime-time main stage slot. For a band who haven't settled on a consistent line up and yet to release an official single, they're remarkably confident and immediately justify their place. Fantastic foresight from the Glasgowbury crew who maybe have an eye on nabbing a post-superstardom Peter McCauley in 2012.

Goldstar: 'Love is a Bitter Thing' has the masses singing like it's Bohemian Rhapsody, an early highlight. 'Friendship Fails You' and 'Coal, My Lips are Sealed' - in fact every song is as good as the next - a more consistent set you'll not hear all day. Just when you think such a strong setlist means no one song will stand out, along comes 'Dieter Rams' - the first we heard of Ram's back in the day and still their finest moment - an epic, soaring, anthem in the making. It's pimped with a few lines borrowed from John Farnham, enough to make it a shoe in to the 'top ten Glasgowbury moments of all time'.

Lost at Sea: We've never liked Peter McCauley's penchant for waistcoats. We didn't like them on Ricky Wilson and we don't like them on Pete.
