In A Tweet: A foot stamping folk frenzy.
What Happened:It sounds freshfaced and innocent, and certainly lives up to their throwaway folk premise. Still, the duo get feet stamping and toes-a-tappin' in their upbeat hoedown with catchy short, songs which are brought tougher with the addition of a bassist to their stripped back acoustic guitar, bouncing melodies and lovely harmonies.
Goldstar: Bringing on a bass player to liven everything up, and get everyone dancing. It was an unlikely setting for shaking some debauched moves, but it suited the sundrenched vibe underpinned by the 1930’s jangle fest.
Lost at Sea: Sometimes those lyrics are maybe a little too bittersweet and twee in all the dulcet innocence, and while it’s a solid performance musically they start to grate after a while.
