Philys trip to the Choice Music Prize

Myself and office layabout Steven Rainey went on a little road trip yesterday. We packed our lunch boxes, combed our hair and set off for Dublin, to report back from the 2011 Choice Music Award’s. The lineup was killer; each of the nominated acts showcased their wares bar Imelda May, who was touring in Australia.

Among the highlights of the night were the performances from Halves and Cast of Cheers, as well as a chin wag with Neil Hannon and a celeb spot of the 'eternally miserable one' they call Morrissey. To top it all off, our Bangor brethren Two Door Cinema Club walked off with prize and brought it back up north. I think a collective yeeeeooooo is in order for the lads! 1,2,3 YEOOOOOOO!

And we captured some of the excitement in cinematic quality! Sundance here we come!
