Friday Night is BBC Music Night

Katie Derham and Ken Bruce host this special edition of Friday Night is Music Night, from Glasgow’s City Halls, as the culmination of the first ever BBC Music Day. Join the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and stars including Noah Stewart, Lulu, Deacon Blue, Jaz Dhami, Jamie Cullum, Claire Hastings and harpist Catrin Finch in a live extravaganza on TV and radio.

Manic Street Preachers: Live at Cardiff Castle

Huw Stephens presents seminal Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, performing live at Cardiff Castle as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed, landmark album The Holy Bible. They'll be playing the poetic and visceral album in full - plus a set of their greatest hits - in front of a sell-out audience of 9,000 fans.

BBC Music Day Concert: Northern Ireland



The inaugural BBC Music Day kicks off with a first-ever televised concert from the unique surroundings of the former Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast.

Performers include Sir James Galway, the Ulster Orchestra, Villagers, Andrea Begley and the Belfast Community Gospel Choir.
