A round up of BBC announcements, press releases and blogs, plus some highlights from our TV, radio and online output last week.
RAJARS
The RAJAR (Radio Joint Audio Research) figures for Q3 (July-September) 2017 were released on Thursday. The figures revealed that
BBC Radio 6 Music has attracted a record 2.43 million listeners, while BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle remains the most listened to radio station in Northern Ireland.
Radio 1 Teen Awards
Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Little Mix, Ariana Grande, The Chainsmokers and Mo Farah were amongst the names that won awards in the celebrity categories at Radio 1’s Teen Awards on Sunday - held at The SSE Arena, Wembley in front of a 10,000 audience of 14-17 year olds.
BBC Persia
On Wednesday the BBC filed an urgent complaint to David Kaye, UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, on behalf of the staff of its BBC Persian service.
Announcements and blogs
Drama
BBC One introduced the cast of the all new series of Doctor Who. When Jodie Whittaker takes over as the Thirteenth Doctor on the show next year, she will be joined by an all new regular cast including Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill.
The network also published the media pack for new Kay Mellor series Love, Lies & Records.
Meanwhile, EastEnders revealed on Tuesday that - after nearly 16 years away from Walford, Tamzin Outhwaite is to reprise her role as Melanie Owen and will be back in Walford in the New Year.
Children in Need
On Tuesday it was confirmed that six Blue Peter presenters from the past 60 years will enter the glitz and glamour of the ballroom as Mark Curry, Diane-Louise Jordan, Anthea Turner, Tim Vincent, Konnie Huq and Radzi Chinyanganya, will join forces with the Strictly professional dancers in a bid to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy for BBC Children in Need.

On Tuesday BBC Two revealed details of Nigella: At My Tableincluding a Q&A with Nigella herself.
Sport
Four years on from Australia’s triumph on UK soil, rugby league’s oldest international trophy, the Rugby League World Cup, returns to the BBC across TV, radio and online: full details were announced on Monday.
Children's
BBC Children's announced on Monday the leading figures in gaming from around the globe will come together in December to address delegates at the Children’s Global Media Summit 2017.
Digital/iPlayer
On Monday it was announced that Irish language and Ulster-Scots programmes will get a big, new showcase on BBC iPlayer.
