Crimewatch returns to BBC One this evening. The programme which was first broadcast nearly 30 years ago, has moved production base from London to Cardiff and is now produced by BBC Cymru Wales.

Series Editor Joe Mather explains how the programme is made in a short video (below) which introduces a series of articles on the BBC Academy website which throws light on some of the other roles involved in bringing the programme to air. Well worth a watch.
