
Pose is a ground-breaking US series about the underground world of 1980s ball culture, set at the height of the AIDS epidemic.
It was first aired in America last year and is written by Ryan Murphy, known for Glee, American Horror Story and American Crime Story, along with Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals. Pose also features the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles, as well as the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series.

Mj Rodriguez. Mj is an American actress and singer, she's best known for her roles in US TV shows including Nurse Jackie, The Carrie Diaries, and Luke Cage. She plays Blanca Rodriguez, who takes fate into her own hands and form a 'house'.
Dominique Jackson. Dominique is an American actress, author, model, and reality television personality. She plays Blanca’s shrewd former house mother, and current rival, Elektra Abundance.
Indya Moore. Indya Moore is an actress, writer, director, mode and social activist. She plays Angel, a Puerto Rican streetwalker, who wants nothing more than to find true love.

Evan Peters. Evan is an American actor, known for his numerous roles in Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story series and as Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver in the X-men film series. He plays Stan Bowes, a typical family man who quickly finds himself thrust into a world of superficiality when he takes a new job.
Kate Mara. Kate is an American actor, known for playing the titular role in fim Megan Leavey as well as Hayden McClaine in the first series of American Horror Story. She plays Patty Bowes, a loving wife and mother who works hard to ensure that her family will be protected.
James Van Der Beek. James is an American actor, best known for playing Dawson Leery in 90s/00s hit Dawson's Creek, he's also played a fictionalised version of himself in US comedy Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23. He plays Matt Bromley, Stan’s lascivious supervisor, who often overindulges in the finer things in life.
When is Pose on TV?
Pose airs on Thursday 21 March at 9pm on BBC Two and will be aired weekly for a further 8 episodes.
