Scott says: "Distinctively British"

"This feels like one of those Netflix dramas that has taken the best bits from other Netflix dramas. So a bit of the horrors from Haunting of Hill House, some of the surreal bits of The Stranger (that was the drama with the murdered alpacas).

"Having said all that, I got quite addicted to it. It’s distinctively British, so much so that there is a scene where someone is watching a TV. Guess who pops up? Rahul from Bake Off!

"I recommend you don’t look up the show or the book it's based on in advance. It relies on a massive twist in the last episode. As a pure kind of mid-lockdown treat, where you want to have something a little bit nonsense and a little bit scary, this show seems to fit the bill for me."

Hayley says: "A good, trashy thriller"

“The novel by Sarah Pinborough was a huge success when it came out in 2017 and it was marketed on the twist at the end, so I would agree with Scott, do not do any Googling, you will spoil it for yourself!

“It’s a good, trashy thriller that’s very easy to binge. It’s basically beautiful people ruining each other’s lives in a way you don’t understand until the last episode. To say anything more would spoil the twist that the show rests on.”
