Scott says: "This should have been a film"
"Here's the good news. Truth Seekers celebrates ghosts and the paranormal much in the same way as Shaun of the Dead celebrated the horror genre. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's work never takes the mickey, the comedy is done with care.
"Here's the bad news... the pacing is off. This should have been a film, not a TV show. The plot loses its way. It's been stretched out to a long series because that's where we are these days. You end up comparing it constantly to their tighter, earlier work as result.
"If they hadn't got the track record they already have [from working together], this would have recieved a better review, but for fans of their work I think you might be sadly disappointed."

Hayley says: "Fine if unremarkable"
"It’s that mix of horror and comedy that you will know if you are a fan of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg’s earlier work. They did it so well with Shaun of the Dead. This one is without their long time collaborator Edgar Wright and it feels a little more Doctor Who'y in the way that it melds the scarier stuff with the more playful things.
"Nick Frost has his sidekick, they’re all bumbling through this potential apocalypse with a strange collection of equipment. It’s the same sort of idea as the stuff they've done before, but also manages to be very different.
"I thought it was fine if unremarkable. It wasn’t funny enough to be a comedy on its own and it wasn’t quite horrific enough to be a horror. The cast is excellent and you’ll recognise faces - Kevin Eldon from everything is in there, Malcolm McDowell from A Clockwork Orange, Julian Barratt from The Mighty Boosh.
"It just felt a little underwhelming. It’s Halloween, you’ve got Nick Frost, Simon Pegg and a whole bunch of ghosts. It should be everything we need, but to me it felt a little flat."
