Who's going to win?

Emma says: "Stacey or Joe, but I think Stacey. It’s all about the journey, I know that’s a cliché but it’s so true!"

Poor Ashley...

Emma says: "Ashley is the best dancer in the competition - she’s been in the bottom two, two weeks in a row because we’ve got to that stage where public votes really do make a difference. At the beginning they don’t really, but it is roughly the same as the leader board - whereas now it’s powerful. Poor old Ashley she looked really crestfallen on Sunday, but that’s the way of it.

"People want to see someone progress, people want to become better and enjoy themselves. Whereas Ashley looks like she’s found it really effortless."

Stacey vs Joe

Emma says: "People absolutely love Stacey, they love her throwing herself into the competition. She’s so natural, she’s very much herself, there’s no pretence there. The only thing that’s annoying me is that Joe and Stacey are clearly the favourites and the viewers love them – and the judges are kind of pandering to that a little bit now. You want them to have absolute integrity

"The week before last, they gave Joe 10s for a dance that, even Joe’s partner said wasn’t perfectly in sync – I think because they’re getting swept up in it. They’re so pleased to have Joe Sugg there. I wish the judges would play it straight down the line – it’s up to us to decide who we like and who we don’t like."

The Alternative View...

Scott says: "I find that when the contestants who might screw it up leave, my interest goes a bit! And I feel bad because I know how much hard work and stress and anxiety builds into a performance, but once the comedy performers go...sorry, my interest is gone."

The semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One on Saturday 08 December 2018 at 18:35.
