The Olympics and Paralympics are the biggest events to occur in the UK this year, and 5 live is privileged to be host broadcaster.

However, due to rights restrictions we're unable to broadcast our Olympics coverage to our international audience who listen online.

All of 5 live's coverage, except Up All Night, will be UK-only online - including clips - for the duration of the Olympic Games. Likewise for our sister station 5 live Olympics Extra.

Full details of BBC Radio's international streaming rights can be read here in a blog post by Mark Friend, BBC Audio and Music's controller of multi-platforms & interactive.

Sports Extra in unaffected by Olympics rights and will continue to broadcast to our international audience where rights permit.

Will Cooper is BBC Radio 5 live's interactive editor.
